The 1001 KNIGHTS ANTHOLOGY KICKSTARTER is LIVE !!!

1001 Knights is a massive 3-volume anthology project focusing on creating people-positive characters with feminist overtones. Over the course of 3 volumes, 250+ artists explore themes about what it means to be a knight and what makes for a strong character through illustration, comics, poetry, and prose. The artists involved have worked long and hard to create meaningful art that will uplift and inspire readers. 1,001 knights will be represented between all 3 volumes, including fictional characters and the contributing artists. In order to make this the coolest and most epic anthology we can dream of, we need your help! All money raised will go towards making the book and compensating the participating artists. 1001 Knights is created & curated by Annie Stoll & Kevin Jay Stanton.

Coming next week, Companions is a new comic column by Jen Overstreet exploring the wonderful world of Dragon Age: Inquisition and Bioware romance adventures. Taking a pause in her deeply rewarding three-year relationship with Skyrim, Jen has embarked on a serious dalliance with “the game with the hot elves that Twitter keeps talking about.” While constantly willing to shout her pairing suggestions at TV, movies, and video games, she was previously unaware that action-adventure romance games were a thing and is now making up for lost time.

With an autobio focus, Companions explores quirks of Bioware’s formula and gameplay, characters, and writing, as well as the personal gaming quirks of an idiot playing a one-person D&D campaign. Follow Jen as she refuses to accept game logic, takes great joy in playing in the most circuitous fashion possible, and plunges screaming into the uncanny valley. Relive the game or discover it for the first time. Wave a silent goodbye as Jen increasingly accepts Dragon Age: Inquisition’s characters as her Real Friends while IRL fades into a very nonmagical dream.

Companions begins next Tuesday, and will update every two weeks.

I started playing Dragon Age: Inquisition!! Playing a very hamsome elf as is my wont (when lizard women are not an option, anyway). I tried to base his appearance off a character I've doodled...but the options (esp voice) just didn't get quite femme enough...so I suppose they're brothers. If seeing me livetweet trying to hit on everything digitally created that moves sounds like your jam, i am doing that on twitter

Reposting this piece I did 3 years ago since it's the 20th anniversary of Chrono Trigger today. I loved how the background at the End of Time just dropped off into space, it was so intense. Ahh what a lovely game. I still get chills listening to Memories of Green.
