basically potential candidates for each party are running ads portraying each other in different shitty lights because even if they have a good political stance and care about the people most of derse wont go out and vote unless they have very strong feelings about the matter at hand
so in order to please the masses as well as hopefully get the vote each runner and their mother is purchasing adtime on tv stations so their commercials can be run on loop
BUT the interesting part is that each party is pretty solid so far bc admittedly we are very early in this whole democracy and havent fallen like fools to the temptations of bipartisan failure which is like how my country on earth became totally fucked over
so the tldr is that most of the propaganda is ran by the parties against people in their own faction in order to rank up publicity
its extremely convoluted but people really like the jerry springer aesthetic and its working
