I've never encountered anyone talking about this before, and to be honest, I personally don't see it? Then again, what interests me is the twisted relationship between Deimos and his ex-employee Fenrir. Hell, I could understand Deimos and Ash since they knew each other too and there's also some substance there, presumably. Or Tubarao and Blackbeard. But I can't think of a single link between Tubarao and Deimos? There might be one and I just don't know cause I've only been following the lore half-heartedly for the last few years, idk, so my apologies if this "that's kinda random" impression is wrong!
Even if it isn't wrong and this ship is indeed random... more power to your friend if they like it. Personally, it's not for me. However, I am an old fan mostly interested in the old (timeline wise, not age wise xD) operators and don't care much for the newer additions - with the exception of the whole Deimos-Fenrir shenanigans because of their potential for drama and messiness :3
