Jiya and Hyas

Yayy characters that haunt the narrative especially Jiya!!! These characters are killed off in their story and are the driving force behind the stories of the Sun King, Sooraj, and the Herald of Land, Atlas, and the conflict they have with each other. I'll have to work a little on this side of the story and also maybe one day draw Sooraj and Atlas' story as well.

They both sparked a friendship when they were both children, but they only met very sparingly as both their parents hated each other. Hyas and Jiya would hang out in secret for years until Atlas caught them. Around this time, Jiya had already had her own land to rule and wasn't under Sooraj's supervision. Atlas took Jiya under his wing to guide her to stop Sooraj's tyranny. Jiya became convinced and turned against her own mother. Hyas was there to support Jiya when her mother found out she betrayed her and allied herself with Atlas. However, deep down, Jiya never wanted to betray her mother in this way and just wished both her and Atlas could live in harmony. But she knew that would be impossible and was heartbroken to hurt her mother in that way. Jiya had mixed romantic feelings towards Hyas and saw him mostly as a close friend before a close partner. Hyas never really pressured her on this, as he knew a lot of things were spinning in her mind. But both promised each other they'd figure it out once the war conflict was over.
