every semester, without fail, there’s some freshman who’s like “oh I never check my email lol” and i get worried for them, bc they’re going to miss some important email about a pop quiz or a test, or something and then fail. so if you’re a freshman reading this, CHECK YOUR EMAIL im not joking, professors will send you stuff via email that they’ll never mention in class. I’m in my email every hour on the hour before and after class. check that shit. put that app on ur phone, turn on notifs, go in and refresh every hour, check your spam, check your email

Any reason to learn a different language is good enough, whether you want to learn Japanese to be able to watch anime without subtitles, korean to be able to understand kpop better, italian because your ancestors spoke it, russian just because it looks aesthetic to you, latin because you like history or chinese because you want to get to a prestigious university, they all matter. If something makes you work hard in order to achieve your dream, it’s a good reason.

10 studyblr things that have died out:

stabilo pens: i just never see them any more?? are they gone?? hibernating?? who knows

fancy banners: u know on notes/in bujos as headers– i think ~fake calligraphy~ has just replaced them

normal pencils: like the wooden #2 ones. in 2015 i saw A Lot of fancy pencils but WHERE ARE THEY NOW

lil’ capsule highlighters: i’m pretty sure mildliners & stabilo boss ones just kinda booted them out

weekly layout printables: there were so many this time last year with times & highlighting & dates and now what?? they went pOooOf

sketchnotes: these were a Big Thing & suuuuuuper cool. i don’t even know why they’re gone maybe minimalism killed them

filofaxes: i mean the bujo revolution clearly just staged a coup and booted them from power

fountain pens: again. mysteriously wiped out without any good reason. they looked So Fancy and now what

candles: they used to be in so many studyspo pics!!! and now they just ,,, aren’t?? did they all burn down and no one bought more??

photos of libraries: not just pics of notes and books on tables. the big libraries with lamps & books & fantastical things

i mean it might just be me but we should bring these back i miss them lmk if i’m completely wrong and just blinded by the bujo craze
