This is Pinky- She is a spayed, 1-2 year old American bully, very sweet, driven lady- she is looking for her forever home. She was pulled from a kill shelter in Georgia with only a few hours to spare, she was thought to be deaf, but has since been found to be a stubborn mull headed girl that needs a stubborn mull headed owner to win her respect.
This is Foster- He is a neutered, 1-2 year old Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix, he’s very sweet and loves everyone. Including cats. He is looking for his forever home- he has been treated for heartworms and is now negative. This sweet boy would very much like someone he can play with, talk to and cuddle with. He was dumped off in Hot Springs, when found on a cold rainy winter day here, he had a choke chain that had been pulled as tight as it would go on his neck and then pad locked so that it couldn’t be taken off... thankfully he didn’t not suffer serious injury from this extremely ignorant and cruel act.
These two are Artemis and Titus---They are American Stafforshire Terriers and Their story is one that has just broken our hearts... They were dumped off at a family's home out by 3 sisters in Ouachita state park, they wandered from the family who had been feeding and watering them, got lost and were picked up. Due to Artemis' health, we will be keeping them to ensure that they receive the best care possible and find the best homes for each or both of them.
Artemis is a sad sad momma who has had a hard life. She's a breeder dog, who probably got too old to be productive after the last litter, and was dumped with her pup. Her teeth are badly damaged (filed/broken) and infected- just from what I can see and smell. She has some old scars and some new minor wounds that could simply be from roaming. She has been branded with a a star tattoo in her ear, marking her a mill dog. Luckily the family who she and Titus were dumped at were kind people and fed and watered them and played with them, ensuring that they did not starve as the monsters who dumped them intended. I've been told that both are dog/kid friendly and so very sweet. Despite her hardships, Artemis is a true bully breed at heart. She's remained kind and loving when all the world has shown her is cruelty and hate. Her old eyes speak words that only a rescuer would know. This sweet girl knows that not all humans are evil, and these last few steps in life for her are proof of that. Lets work together to ensure that she can get back on her feet health wise, so that she may go to a much need loving home, where she can simply be a dog, a friend, and family member.-----Artemis is est. to be 8yrs old, 52.2lbs, Heartworm positive, as well as hook/whip/ring worm pos- she is being treated for that....She needs treatment badly. Over all her teeth are just worn from chewing on a kennel, the scaring is from breeding, and her growth was stunted from being in a kennel that was too small.
Her son Titus is unsure, in his few short months he has only known cruelty and then kindness of a stranger. He relies on his mother to show him the good humans from the bad. He is a sweet, soft tempered soul. He has yet to come out of his shell and blossom, but he will. With only puppy teeth to speak of and no manly parts yet, he is still young enough to bounce back from any hardships he's seen. If he's like his mother, he will be a wonderful trusting soul who only needs a chance. ------Titus is a fat happy, wormy pup... he's roughly 5 months, 28.4 lbs. He has a lot of growing to to and is expected to be fairly large. He's being treated for his worms.
This is Blondie, She is a 3/4 month old lab/aussie mix. She was born with a natural doc’d tail. 10.1lbs, has a yeast infection in her ears- has started treatment- wormy- is being treated. Over all she's a little under weight, but is healthy. She was found in a dumpster behind chilis in Little Rock, Arkansas after the last ice storm. When found she was no more than a skeleton of a pup... nothing more than fur and bones. Today she is a happy, strong, smart puppy who is looking for someone to love her.
Belle - grey hound/whippet mix - between 6months and a year old. Full of energy and love everyone. Also a bed and blanket hog....wants to sleep close to her human. She has been vetted and has a full clean bill of health. . Looking for a forever home that will be able to handle her high energy & playful attitude. She came from the same shelter as Pinky and was said to be a “Pit” which then led to her being on the kill list... like Pinky... she only had hours left when we stepped in.
