A pic I took of this Durban Dancing Shrimp in Mozambique in 2024. Used an old Canon G16 with a Fantasea +2 diopter. Edited in LR. Loved the way it came out. #underwaterphotography #underwatermacrophotography #macrophotography #shrimps #dancingshrimp

B&W Bark Textures - The textures of lichen and bark appealed to me during a walk around a cattle farm in the eastern Free State of South Africa. Taken with an iPhone15 Pro using the Project Indigo app and edited in Lightroom.
Super moody Umhlanga morning. A really moody morning on the Umhlanga Promenade as a cold front blows in. Taken on an iPhone15 Pro using the NoFusion app and lightly edited in Lightroom
Sexy silhouette. Stunning study of this very beautifully built bikini model. Took this by backlighting a window blind with 2 speed lights and shot on a Nikon D7100
Cornered Thoughts
A quick impromptu photo shoot with this fitness model before a fitness competition. May not technically be boudoir, but it was shot in her bedroom. What an amazing physique.
A photoshoot a did a long time ago with a fitness model. First real photoshoot I ever did with lights and umbrellas, etc. Shot on a Nikon D7100.
Itâs not often when a fish will pose for you, but this Coral Rock-cod was more than happy to show me its teeth! These Rock-cod are voracious reef predators and unfortunately targeted by fishermen for their delicious taste. Sad but true, but being patient underwater with a camera can be really rewarding.
Continuing on with some of the stranger reef critters, here is one of my favourites. The Harlequin Shrimp, beautiful but brutal. Behind the beautiful colours lies a brutal armoured beast, Harlequin Shrimpâs kidnap starfish off the reef and then use them as a living pantry, feeding off the starfishes arms while the starfish is alive, once all all the arms are gone, the shrimp throws the starfish out and kidnaps a new one.
Captured this Whip Coral Goby on a Whip Coral that had been colonised by Tiger Anemones on a recent trip to Ponta Do Oura. This was shot on an old Canon G16 using Sea using a Fantasea Macro Diopter as well as Sea & Sea strobes. Pretty happy with the outcome, some light post editing in Lightroom.
Late afternoon boudoir session with this beautiful weightlifting model. The late winter sun made for ideal lighting, bathing the model is soft light but casting hard shadows for contrast.
Found this majestic but highly venomous Mozambican Spitting Cobra next our pool the one evening. It was hunting Rock Hyraxes but was disturbed by my presence and flared its famous hood. Quite a tense standoff. Shot on a Nikon D3100
I love photographing bugs! This Bird Grasshopper was happy to have his pic taken and struck a pose.
Tried my hand at taking a pic of the stage at a âCigarettes After Sexâ concert. Was super happy with the way the iPhone 15 performed. Just some light editing with the native iOS Photos app.
Remember that everyone has one of these, itâs fragile, needs to be cared for and probably needs love in return. Look after all the hearts in your life.
Beaches always provide cool subjects to shoot, this may be a little macabre but itâs interesting. Shot on a morning walk on the beach.
Old farm cat sunbathing. Found this cute chap on my girlfriendâs parentâs farm! Just enjoying the late afternoon sun.
The summer rains bring out some interesting critters, this Brownlipped Agate Snail is the largest of all African Land Snails can grow to 16cm in length. They are true herbivores even though urban legend claims they eat other snails. This guy was massive.
