Bizen sake bottle with a unique character created through wood-firing. The interaction of flame, firewood, and clay produces unpredictable shades of orange, red, black, and brown. Prolonged firing also creates natural variations of reddish brown, ash gray, and subtle metallic luster across the surface.
The katakuchi (pouring lip) is shaped for smooth, controlled pouring, combining functional design with a quiet, sculptural presence. Slight irregularities in the form remain visible, reflecting the hand-built process and the inherent character of Bizen ware.
Traditionally used for serving sake, this vessel can also be used as a small water carafe or as a simple flower vase. One-of-a-kind piece.
