Summary:

“Unlike Yautja, they don’t rely on ambush. They work as a team to bring down prey much larger than themselves, using their endurance to run down and tire out their quarry before going for the kill.” “No, not like Yautja,” Dek agreed. He turned the small carved bone in his hand this way and that, examining his craftsmanship. Despite that, he did not find fault with the tactics wolves employed when hunting. Maybe he had formed a bias towards these canine predators. “Wolves are not like Yautja at all. They are like Kwei…” His thumb brushed over his creation, smoothing away bone dust. “Yes, like your Ndoi.” Thia caught his eyes over the fire and held them. “And like you, Dek.” The way she said his name momentarily seized the breath from his lungs. Words left Dek entirely and he got to his feet and rounded the fire to stand before her. Thia blinked up at him, eyes widening when he held out the bone carving to her. Waiting, his heart ricocheted off his ribs. “A wolf?” she queried and he nodded. “Is it… for me?” Her voice became small. Dek nodded again, stoically. “You don’t eat. But still wanted to give you something.” His fangs twitched in barely contained excitement and… nervousness.

And this is the full view design of the Quillara skull. The base I took from the skull of a maned wolf and just added a horn and spines.
