Anna Tweeddale is very excited to be working as part of a team with with dancer / choreographer James Batchelor, artist Zoe Scoglio and sound designer Morgan Hickinbotham on a new piece for the Keir Choreographic Award 2016.

During all of next week (11 - 15 Dec 2015) the workshop To Note: Notation Across Disciplines, organised by Hannah Matthews, will be exploring the idea of ‘notation’. Studio Apparatus’ Anna Tweeddale will be participating along with a diverse group of architects, designers, dancers, choreographers and visual artists. Although the workshop sessions are closed to invited participants, there is an exciting series of public lectures scheduled during the week that will set an armature for the workshop themes.

Zoe Scoglio - MASS

Anna Tweeddale has been invited to contribute an essay for Zoe Scoglio’s new site specific work MASS. Produced as a part of the Field Theory 2015 series called ‘Site is Set’. Performance is Sunday 30 Aug at 5pm at Calder Raceway.

The next iteration of the evolving project Metasystems, collaboration with James Batchelor, Amber McCartney, Madeleine Beckett and Emma Batchelor, will be performed from 1 - 5th July at Forty Five Downstairs. Tickets via link above.

Studio Apparatus is excited to announce that Anna Tweeddale will be collaborating with award-winning choreographer James Batchelor on his new project Metasystems.

METASYSTEMS is a new contemporary dance performance by award-winning choreographer James Batchelor and collaborators. Through the documentation and translation of the processes taking place at the construction site, METASYSTEMS is an observation of the rapidly evolving landscape we inhabit. 4 performers move 320 cement besser blocks, creating a world that is simultaneously being constructed and deconstructed.

Anna Tweeddale recently contributed to a collaborative work orchestrated by photographer Javier Callejas as a part of the exhibition 'Lugares al Límite: El paisaje en transición de la Vega de Granada.' The exhibition includes diverse responses to the transforming territory of the Vega de Granada, the fertile plain nestled below and around the city and along the valley of the Genil River. In the exhibition are works by photographers Argider Aparicio, Cristina Beltrán, Javier Callejas, Domingo Campillo, Susana Delgado, Jorge Dragón, Navarro Herrera, Blas López Fajardo, Cecilio Puertas and Isabel Soler. It also includes an archive of students projects from LAB-TT (Laboratorio de Territorios en Transformación) of the Faculty of Fine Art and Architecture from the University of Granada. Opening: Thurs 13 March at 8pm Dates: 13 March - 2 May, 2014 Location: Instituto de América.Centro Damián Bayón. Plaza de España 2. Santa Fe. Granada A book from the exhibition has also been edited and published by the wonderful people at TRN Ciengrammos (ciengrammos.com).

On 7th October Anna Tweeddale will be presenting at Process Loop, which falls on World Architecture Day. The theme for the presentations is Art/Architecture.

Studio Apparatus (Gretchen + Anna) will be speaking as part of a symposium to coincide with the launch of the Architectural Design issue The Innovation Imeperative: Architectures of Vitality. The symposium will take place on Tues 7 May from 2 - 6pm at the RMIT Design Hub (Level 1).

Apparatus are involved in the first session at 2pm: Armatures for Collective Action.

The symposium will be immediately followed by the AD issue launch from 6 - 7pm. Architext will have copies of AD on sale on the evening.

Studio Apparatus have collaborated in a project titled Ideas that Fly.

On May 7 we will be quite literally launching (as paper planes) the pages of a new online publication made of multiple one page contributions from diverse practitioners. More about the project can be found here:

Innovation in architecture - on The Architects (Radio National)

On Monday 14 January an interview with Anna Tweeddale on The Architects radio show was included on a broadcast on Radio National titled Innovation and new ways of thinking about architecture.

The interview was originally recorded in Melbourne in July 2012 on The Architects regular segment on Melbourne station 3RRR.
