Touched by sunlight’s golden caress

things i’ve been using lately to work on my academic writing skills essay 🤠

Trying to like winter. Sat journaling in bed looking out the window at the snow falling.
i’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day
This week I’ve been putting together a new series of posts on patreon that I’m calling the journal series – on creating, curating and building a project in a book format from scratch. I’ve been journalling all my life and it’s a natural part of how I express myself and outlet my creativity, but I had never thought that I might have experiences worth sharing until now.
If you’ve ever been stuck for creative ways to organise writing and ideas, wondered how to curate a perfect commonplace book, or wanted to pull together photos, drawings, writing and other media into one cohesive collection, this series is totally for you.
I am really enjoying putting these posts together and can’t wait to release them weekly across this year. I’m also really excited to see my subscribers’ journals as we share our processes in the little community we have built. If you want to join you can do so here: patreon.com/essayism
sorry for always disappearing, im just not sure if i exist anymore and exams arent helping

Winter Studying Challenge
4th January: What is the most important things that's going to happen to you this year? - I would have to say graduating with a Masters Degree!
5th January: Would you rather live in a world where it's always winter or always summer? - Both could be equally eerie! I think I would prefer always summer because I miss reading and doing yoga outside, but I love the chill in the air sometimes. Autumn is my favourite season.
this is a breakdown of how i go about doing research for my essays! do keep in mind i am an arts student, so i don’t know how well this method carries over into other disciplines. check out my other guides to writing essays here and here!
a very bookish thursday featuring data entry and the bizarrely boring genres printed by alice reilly in the eighteenth century (business and economics texts of irish to english exchange rates, anyone? military lists of army regiments?)
