I havenāt been on here for a few months, but thatās typical of a studyblr blog lol. Anyway, Iāve been doing more research based classes this semester and I thought Iād share!
These pictures are from my Biotechnology lab where weāre working with bone cells (osteoblasts) from mice. The cells on the left were infected with a plasmid that turns the cells green under fluorescent light!
Probably doesnāt sound or look appealing, but Iām having a blast this semester. Thanks for reading!
I made this post six year ago, two weeks before Covid hit. I had to spend the rest of the semester online and couldn't work on these cells anymore.
Little did I know that this exact class would be the catalyst for me getting to where I am in my career today. I have the honor of calling being an actual scientist! My job is flying me all the way to China next month, where I'll be training and advancing my skills even further.
I am beyond grateful for the professor that gave me a chance. She told me to sign up for the class bc she saw my eagerness For learning and application.
I'm looking back on this post and really reflecting on what I have accomplished from undergrad, through grad school, and being in the biotech industry. I really did that shit! :')
