♡ ❤️》A little guide for beginners on modern calligraphy. 🌹 》I made a little guide on how to do modern calligraphy for beginners. You don’t really need any brush pens as those simple markers with cone type tips are perfect. I had gotten my first markers to learn calligraphy with at @lovewilko and @poundland but the @crayola_uk supertips are ideal too. I strongly suggest to first use the regular markers first and then switch to brush pens. I used the @staedtleruk brush pens here by the way With regular markers, the upstroke requires less pressure and the downstrokes require more pressure. It is actually quite easy once you learn the basic strokes as you just need to start lettering then. 📖》 Taking efficient notes First of all, sit with all of your writing materials in one place, so you don't have to get up and interrupt your study session just to fetch something Be prepared before class, you should read the section that your teacher will teach before the lesson. This will allow you to have some sort of an understanding of what is happening in the class, and also allow you to come prepared with any questions Another tip is to take notes by hands. You can type them out on your laptop first, but you should always write them down afterwards. This is because it is scientifically proven that we retain information better when we take notes by hand. Now comes my personal favourite: make your notes look aesthetic or even just visually appealing. Trust me, this will make you feel motivated as studying will seem less like a boring task, and more like something fun (at least for me it works). However don't force yourself to make them look like the notes from studygram, just do whatever looks nice to you, as you should only aim to please yourself. You should also color code your notes, for example you could write all of your formulae in pink, and all important terms and definitions in yellow. Just find a color scheme which works best for you What I usually do is to take boring notes during my class, and then take pretty ones when revising. These are all of the tips that I find useful. ♡ 🔶️ Procastination is an issue that all of us deal with on a regular basis. 🧡 These tips are according to what psychology says about procastination But if you can't stop procrastinating even with these tips, there is another thing that you can do, the 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞. It is a therapy technique, where you set a goal of something that you usually avoid doing, but only do it for 5 minutes. You may continue the task after 5 minutes, but you can stop if you want to. 💞 》Some of these channels also have videos on A Levels, and have videos on all exam boards

••••••••••• To be honest, I like Cognito the most, as they have these sort of animated videos, and the videos are just super easy to understand.

Amoeba Sisters is amazing, and Freesciencelessons is literally a lifesaver (except for the blue background he uses in his videos which just annoys me for no reason)

I really can’t tell how amazing both @sparknotes_ and Mr Bruff are. They have really easy summaries and explanations on books. Mr Bruff also has these videos on writing letters, essays and etc

The Crash Course has videos on like all of the subjects, and the videos are very easy to understand

The GCSE Maths Tutor’s videos are also lifesaving, as he explains everything in a way that is easy for the students to understand

For Atomi, you have to pay to watch more videos, so it is kind of a downside, but their videos are really nice anyways
