A response to the post going around posted by @donutwitch.
I want to clarify a misunderstanding that appears to be taking place.
1.) My stance on pronouns is not with malice or any intention to hurt any individual. As mentioned in my messages, I would rather use someone's name until I know what someone's preffered pronouns are. At the end of the day this is about respecting: I'd rather use someone's name, and respect that gender identity that way. While I may personally not like the pronouns "they/them" as I explained in the messages, I'm more than happy to use that person's name than use they/them, to avoid misgendering anyone.
2.) I did misgender you @donutwitch by mistake on our voice call. But when you brought it up before this in our messages, I apologized twice and explained that this was not meant as intentional or disrespectful.
3.) With regards to history, this isn't even what I said. What we talked about was how there are many cultures that DON'T have a pronoun system that can accomadate what English has for pronouns. I was explaining how it's great that English can adapt much quicker than other languages where the gender binary is baked into thr language much more so than any English or tuetonic language. While I have a history degree, I did not wave it in your face in our messages, nor claim that I'm an authority beyond the studies that I have done. Language changes over time and the gender binary is very present to this day in society at large.
4.) I don't appreciate spreading misinformation about me as I have no ill will towards you or any other feedist on here and do not condone misinformation like this. I'll also tag @feedismbatman misinformation like this just hurts the community at large.
Why is this so accurate? Lol
