Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez responded to a video of a Palestinian girl who painted a mural of him, thanking her and the Palestinian people for the gesture.

Sánchez said the people of Spain would not forget the Palestinians, nor their pain and suffering, expressing his hope that they would one day live in peace.

A medical source told Al Jazeera that a fetus died while the mother survived after the Israeli army detained an ambulance at a checkpoint in Nablus and prevented it from reaching the hospital.

Over the past two days, during the Israeli attack on the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, the Israeli occupation forces detained several vehicles carrying women on their way to give birth. Yesterday, two women were forced to deliver at the checkpoint inside civilian vehicles.

Israeli occupation soldier seen vandalizing Palestinian vehicle in Bethlehem

An Israeli occupation soldier in Bethlehem was documented deliberately vandalizing Palestinians' cars: puncturing the tires, kicking the doors and mirrors, smashing the windshields, and deliberately slamming his weapon against the windows to break them.

According to Israeli military correspondent Doron Kadosh, the attacks on Palestinian vehicles were carried out in front of at least 3 other soldiers but none of them stopped him from vandalizing Palestinian property.

Kodosh reported that Israeli military authorities confirmed that the incident occurred between Saturday and Sunday evening, but they refused to comment on whether any steps will be taken in response.

Arnold Böcklin painted “Isle of the Dead” five times between 1880 and 1886. A lone boat crosses still water toward an island of towering cypress trees and rock-cut tombs while a white-robed figure stands silently at the bow.

The haunting image became one of the most famous paintings of its time. Böcklin never explained who the mysterious figure was and that unanswered question is part of what still draws people back to it.
