Cross fox skidding in the winter snow. The cross fox is a partially melanistic colour variant of the red fox (Vulpes vulpes) which has a long dark stripe running down its back, intersecting another stripe to form a cross over the shoulders.

A good way to focus on color by creating the shading prior.

I mixed 6 complimentary colors (red-green,blue-orange,violet-yellow) and used the different shades to experiment how they work off of each other in a completed image. I used the Ox Pecker and Hippopotamus as my subject since they ‘compliment’ each other in a mutualism relationship.
