This is incredibly cool, Especially if you click on it, and get the full res copy, and just zoom and read all the tiny little islands, mountain ranges and rivers.
Great!
Had the luck to spend the last weekend in Basel, Suisse.
Just a look at the Pacific ocean... (some years ago)
While there is no need for the x-ed social network, ResearchGate is - in my opinion! - absolutely recommendable for its unique use: To contact scientists (YES! Nerds like us! ;-)) all over the world. Very much Facebook (including the disgusting "like" button...), a little bit of LinkedIn and XING, with a literature management tool included as the outstanding difference to the fore mentioned. Still with a BETA touch, I really (not the Facebook-kind-of) like it.
