“It really is lovely.” Morgan leaned back, her arms stretched out behind her and supporting her. She tilted her head back and closed her eyes. Enjoying the feeling of sun on her face, she hummed. “Snow is pretty. Then it melts and you get slush. I’m, personally, not a fan.”

“I guess I could at least give it a chance.” A clear mind would definitely help him sleep whenever he actually had the chance to. Even if it didn’t work, it’s not like he had anything to lose from giving it a try. “Hell, I might even be able to come up with an actual solution with a clear mind.”
Morgan laughed. “It’s certainly a thought. Solving problems rather than avoiding is advice people often given out. I’d suggest it as well. She said. “Clearing your mind is, yes, probably very helpful with that.”

“It’s never so bad at first but after a few weeks of it, I’m already wishing for spring to come around.”

“The things I divine are normally a lot... smaller. Mostly disparate symbols that I need to decipher.” She took another look at the drawing. “If you need some tea leaves read then I’m the person to ask.” With a gesture at the drawing, she said, “Not quite this stuff.”

she supposed, in a way, she could RELATE. her interest hadn’t lay in the occult, or anything in line with such a thing - she’d wanted to be a hero like her mother, and it had led her down a path of vigilante justice that had been the best ( and sometimes worst ) time of her life. she knew what it was like to dedicate herself to something. moreso even, than that, she knew what it was like to want to know it all and be the best. when she thought about it like so, sia didn’t have half as much trouble in understanding MORGAN. “i would love a reading - so long as i’m not cutting in to anything of more important you may be doing, right now.”
“There’s nothing you could be interrupting.” Morgan smiled. She had some homework she should be doing but there were few things that Morgan considered more important than her readings and her little rituals, her family the only notable exception to this. From pouring over techniques for divination to learning the symbolism of everything, divination had almost always been one of her most time-consuming interests. “Not much goes into a tea leaf reading. Not on your end, at least. You just need to drink the tea.” She explained. Once the ordered tea arrived, she slid the cup across the table to Sia. “Here you go.”
Morgan laid in the quad, arms and legs spread out. Sitting up as she did so, she said, “As lovely as winter can be,” Truthfully, she hated winter. Cold winter and snow had never been much of her thing, and her wardrobe clashed with both. “I have missed just how great the sun is.” She said.

“I don’t really care for tea. I prefer sleeping and hoping everything will resolve itself while I’m unconscious.” That hadn’t actually worked in the past, but he was still hoping that it miraculously one day.
“You could try meditation if you don’t like tea. It’s just as calming. A clear mind will probably help much more than sleeping.” Morgan hummed. Her own problem solving methods weren’t much better than sleep, more reliant on what she thought the universe was telling her to do than what she should do.

“i’m more of a dog person.” it seemed like a kind of cruel aside, and it was only after it had LEFT her that morgan version two realized. morgan was only sharing a LOVE, after all ; and there was nothing wrong with that. brief consideration aside, it didn’t take long for her to clear her throat and add, with easy confidence, “there are cats in outer space, though. things that LOOK like them, anyway. close enough, right?”
“Dogs are lovely too. A bit too much energy for my liking.” Perhaps it was her witchier tendencies that lead to her love of cats. More practically, she liked their independence, the feeling that they could carry on if she disappeared one day. It was aspirational to an extent. “Space cats? How exciting.” She asked, no attempt to hide the excitement in her worse. “I’ll have to ask my mom if she can get me one.”

“You’re not wrong.” Most of his lessons seemed to be aligned with other events, and they had to come from somewhere - the easiest explanation was the universe. “It tends to teach me things at unwanted times, though. Need to give it a calendar, scheduled days off.”
Morgan laughed. “I’ll be sure to let the universe know next time it is in the mood to listen.” Not that it often was. Or ever. She had dedicated her time to listening to the universe, to deciphering the smallest signs into a understandable message. “We could all use a break every once in a while.”

“It still seems a dramatic. And no one really hurt me. It’s just the feeling that you may not. It’s probably the universe trying to protect me so you do not have to ‘ cut ’ anyone.”

“I meant metaphorically but...” Truthfully, Morgan wasn’t sure what she meant when she said it. “It seems like a sound way to protect your heart either way.”

“Normally, I would just have a glass of tea. It can be very calming. But I will keep that in mind for the next time everything seems to go wrong.”

Morgan laughed. “I think that is just called going to sleep. I can’t say I often fall asleep in the middle of the day.”

“That’s not the best way to live.” Morgan said. She frowned, the frown deeper than the ones she typically showed. “Trust that whatever is happening is what the universe intended. Maybe it wants you to learn something.”

Morgan beamed. “Maybe it is a sign it’s time to let someone in. Or maybe it is a sign that the one is nearby.” She said, her tone light. “Fate can work like that sometimes.”
