Some leaks discussed, somewhat!!

Anywayd not responding to this normally because its long and i wanted to break it up a bit. Also for the leaks warning.

We cant really put much faith in the order of likes and the scenes they were paired with.

Hoyo does like to play misdirection pretty often.

Ronova is absolutely targeting Paimon for Paimon related reasons - im pretty willing to assume that thats why Traveler would throw straight hands and be THAT angry during the fight, because they arent really someone who fights like that unless they are pissed & someone they care about got targeted first (Asmoday & the Abyss Tein, Dottore & Columbina)

I doubt that Ronova actually cares to target Paimon to rile up the Traveler. Rather theres a good chance she underestimates just how important she is to Traveler, and merely needed to collect Paimon for whatever reason.. and didnt expect Traveler to get pissed off so bad.

Ronova is likely referring to their intervention in a previous AQ - likely either Nod-Krai or Natlan, because those are the two main nations where they utilized their descender status in a way that nobody else couldve replicated.

I’d say that the ‘your obsession with it baffles me’ is meant to be towards the Traveler - the it absolutely either Paimon, or possibly even Teyvat.

There is a good chance of Pierro being the one to block Ronova’s attack on Paimon if Traveler cant reach them in time - which truly would be tragic, because that just means that Traveler’s going to fail to reach someone they deeply care for again.

Ronova likely only wants Paimon, and doesnt care to actually bother with the Traveler.

Descenders are, at a basis, already restrained by the world - they exist above the Laws, but Teyvat as a whole - majorly because of fate iirc - weakens them, unrelated to the sealed powers Travelers gotta deal with thanks to either HP or Asmoday.

Traveler’s been left alone because they’ve basically remained non-problematic, despite being a Descender.

3rd Descender was seemingly left alone similarly, till they started being a problem.

Theres also a good chance Asmoday let them out. Either because Asmoday bends the knee now, to either Traveler against their knowledge, or the Abyss Twin.

Considering Skirk is also left to wander Teyvat as she pleases - she doesnt bc she has her own issues - as long as she doesnt interfere, and she’s just an outlander..

Traveler is probably more or less generally left on their own, because of two reasons:

1: As much as they’re changing things, they havrnt steered anything off course through their interventions enough to cause actually big changes or issues. They’ve made changes, many, yes. But none of them are ones where the fact they intervened is actually a big issue. They didnt break fate. They steered it into basically the ‘Best Possible Outcome’ - like Traveler being Mondstadt’s hero in the Dvalin case instead of Varka, leading to Dvalin being purified of the Abyss rather than Venti needing to seal him away.

2: They are, still, a Descender. Which is technically a rank outside the order of Teyvat’s Hierarchy. They are not equal, above, nor below the Shades. Theres a good chance that the Shades cant really act on anything regarding the Traveler short of them actively breaking the actual laws of Teyvat or more likely, acting directly against Celestia/Phanes or Fate…

Which they’re likely going to end up doing in 7.0.

Okay! Heres where the leaks get mentioned!! Minor ones, but still leaks!!

Paimon is likely ill from something earlier in the quest, to do with something else, considering Travelers repeated ‘i need to find/get Paimon’ thing.

As for Alyosha’s possession… we have absolutely no context as to what’s happening there, but im assuming its smth that would happen right before she actually shows up.. maybe??

The Shades do often give warnings, actually. Particularly anytime that they lend their power or anything, theres a warning.

The moments where they act without warning are normally a thing where its like, a necessity to act sooner rather than later.

Ronova is likely gave a warning because she has no issue with Traveler, not at this moment. She just needs Paimon, likely. The Shades arent cruel, they’re actually pretty soft hearted at times.. they’re also just incredibly efficient.

Traveler has, undeniably, done good for Teyvat. Theres also a good chance that killing a Descender comes with consequences Ronova doesnt necessarily want to have to handle.

We also dont know if Phanes plan includes the Traveler or not, or if Ronova is acting on her own terms in accordance with what she does know and what instructions she was left with.

The Shades, Paimon, Phanes, and the Viatwins are linked in ways we absolutely are yet to fully understand, but the ties they have are rather interesting - and we dont know yet if they extend beyond Teyvat’s whole deal and the Descender stuff.

We know that the Viatwins are old. Older than Teyvat as a whole. We know that they have been intent on finding Teyvat for quite some time now, thanks to the Moon WQ.

We also know - disregarding the whole ship ai = phanes idea entirely even - that Phanes has also seemingly been searching for a place like Teyvat for quite some time as well.

Phanes & the Viatwins are kindred spirits. For all we know, there is a possibility of them having known each other at some point pre-teyvat.

Its of course, just a matter of waiting as always. We’ll get our lore drops in the AQ, and even more in our WQ - Snez’s 7.0 WQ seems to be kicking it off on a high note with stuff to do the Tsar and 3rd Descender, so we’re in for a treat imo.

Consider the concept of New/Replacement fatui harbingers in dottomestication, ofcourse there the obvious of Odette=signora, but also now Teucer and Paimon are canditates, my guess would be Paimon for Damsellete and Teucer, not for Childe, but for the title of marionette, tbh they would all probaly get assigned new names and titles lol

In dottomestication, theres actually not any Harbingers lost thus far!

The combination of Sandrone (because yeah its funny so im going full speed ahead with her also having been dragged back) & Dottore being sent back to the past?

Its led to alot of changes.

Particularly because they drag Traveler & Paimon to Snezhnaya early. Dottore does, mostly, but Sandrone irritatingly likes Traveler too much atp to let Dottore keep his hands on them alone.

Because of the combination of meddling from Dottore & Sandrone, and Traveler having that Friendship Aura of theirs, none of the Harbingers actually fuck off or die.. except possibly Capitano.. they just go through a different kinda character arc.

I will say, that tenth harbinger spot is still open…

Paimon is, in no way, ever allowed to become a Harbinger. Nor does she want to. Similarly to in canon - Paimon might like and be friends with some of them (Dotto8, Sandrone, Childe, Columbina, Scara) and respect others (Signora, Capitano, Arle)

But she does not wanna be a Fatuus.

Technically, Traveler isnt a Fatuus either anyways. They’re just the feral golden bastard the two Fatui Technological Experts picked up and everyone else got attached too.

and also Pierro & Tsaritsa probably end up having some form of more complex relationship with them, so likee.

Traveler is just given the same respect and authority and treatment as a Harbinger because. nobody else knows how to treat them.

Odette i’d say, is probably the best bet to become 10th Harbinger. She’s an adult (or at least old enough to be a Harbinger, Childe was a minimum of 14+ and Arle was 17 when she got promoted). And she’s trained, and skilled, and has connections to another Harbinger already.

Teucer, I’d say, is less likely to grow up to become a Harbinger, and more likely to grow up and become Sandrone’s direct assistant & likely successor. He’s already basically her apprentice.

For foxveler and kitmon, you would think that yae(If she assumes them to be kitsunes) would be very confused on why this very young kitsune with just one tail is doing with a kit, maybe she'll assume they are orphans, or that the Traveler is the equivalent to a teenage/Young parent

It’d be funnier if she’s extra confused for a bit because Paimon also has a tail.

Honestly that would be what would clue her in to them not being Kitsunes - apart from the fact that they’re far from Inazuman.

Wouldnt stop her from marketing them as young kitsune & their kitsune kit!

Look she’s willing to get Gorou to crossdress, and canonically wanted at some point to get the Traveler into a cat get-up for her light novels.

She is entirely willing to go all in on the Traveler & Paimon being kitsunes.

Neuvillete tries bonding with columbina and be a good family member and help her build nest but he's used to making underwater dens and it has been centuries since he ever did it so the nest just endups even worst, bina probaly could sleep underwater tought

Neuvillete & Columbina will genuinely be teased relentlessly by the Traveler.

They’re the only one willing to do it.

Actually no, Sandrone will not let Columbina’s failures go.

Furina would probably have a hard time trying to keep a straight face.

Traveler has a picture of their attempt hung up in their teapot, no matter hiw many times either would try and get it taken down.

The Tsaritsa being the common ancestor of Khaenriah only makes my Tsaritsa’s son = Baldur idea seem more reasonable, imo.

Mostly because norse stuff has always been deeply associated with Khaenirah in genshin.

Oh also, Baldur was one of the gods that basically reformed the world post Ragnarok iirc

Traveler uses Electro + Cryo = Ronova is unphased, blocks it with ease, and parries him off.

Traveler uses anemo?

Not only does it work it getting past her barrier.

But it actually leaves a mark on her.

And Ronova is seemingly surprised by this.

Why is this important? Specifically the elements?

Okay well.

Lets set down some background context for my insanity.

Geo seemingly has connections to Space.

Dendro & Hydro seemingly have connections to Life.

Electro & pyro have connections to Death.

Cryo & Anemo seemingly have connections to Time.

But theres one difference here, and its not Geo being an odd one out.

No, its Anemo.

Because while they all have some semblance of connection to one of the Shades authorities..

Anemo is the only one whose Archon has a genuine fragment of the Shades authority given to them. It is very likely built into the Anemo Authority deeply at this point.

And Traveler’s connection with Anemo, truly is amongst their deepest.

Anemo & Pyro > Dendro > Electro > Geo > Hydro imo but anyways. Cryo isnt being included since, well, new.

I wouldnt be surprised in Istaroth gifting Venti some of her power is a fact unknown.

And I wouldnt be surprised if this is what aided in Traveler actually getting a proper hit in on her, and why she’s so surprised.

Time is also particularly connected to fate..

It’d be interesting if Ronova’s intervention didnt come fully because of the Tsaritsa’s plans, but moreso because of Traveler’s intervention.

Because while yes, Tsaritsa & co are rebelling against Celestia.. and all about transcending & defying the rules..

They are as far as we know, still bound to Fate.

Because in Teyvat, Fate does not mean there is not Free Will, not exactly. You can act upon free will.. while still adhering to Fate.

Is that not what we saw with Dottore? He rebelled, he fought, he acted on his own free will..

But he still died by fire, as so often is the fate of a Heretic, did he not?

But outsiders arent connected to that.

Not just Descenders. Outlanders, are not adhered to Fate.

That is why Alice keeps the eye she does on Skirk. Because her existence is one beyond Fate.

But only Descenders are both disconnected from Fate and the Rules of the World.

Travelers interference exists beyond Fate’s allowance for free will…

Meaning likely, whatever Traveler does with Project Stuzha? Or just.. in Snezhnaya, is against Fates allowance.

Ronova is most likely to be there for one of three reasons.

Basically a reprimand for Snezhnaya to warn them to not follow Khaenriah’s footsteps.

Snatching up Paimon.

Trying to deal with Traveler.

Or hell. Maybe some combination or all three.

Tsaritsa is likely the 3rd descenders lover if she’s a ancestor of Khaenriah, but idc about that.

Id say that the Tsaritsa isnt actually connected to the Tsaritsa in the sense of being involved in its founding.

Its a godless nation after all.

I’d argue rather, that the Tsaritsa’s child grew up, and possibly in rebellion, or something, went off to the edge of the world and founded Khaenriah.

The Tsaritsa had no connection, beyond being the common ancestor of Khaenriahns through being the mother of its founder.

Id say rather than rebellion, the denial of gods would be response to the 3rd Descenders death. And the Archons power being made of their father..

The Tsaritsa likely would be akin to Andrius with Venti. Someone who denied the role of Archonhood (for obvious reasons if she was the lover of the Descender whose body from which the gnosis were cleaved from!).

Unlike Andrius, The Tsaritsa was later forced to take it up herself anyways.

The Tsaritsa changing following Khaenriahs destruction would make sense, even if they were not truly her people.

Because they were her child’s people. They were what remained of both her lover & child.

Which really does make that one possibly true prank from Venti REALLY FUCKED UP, no wonder she cut ties with him. Fym you replaced her scepter with a hilichurl club dude, what the fuck qwq

From the looks of that 7.0 trailer…

Traveler & Tsaritsa are going to end up teaming up and it IS going to be based off of a shared hatred of Ronova specifically for what they did to their kid.

Tsaritsa with seemingly khaenriah as a whole (i have thoughts on thatt)

And Traveler with Paimon.

I dont think it really matters whether or not Ronova gets to Paimon or not.

Either way, it very likely, basically guaranteed, will push Traveler into teaming up with the Tsaritsa vs Celestia.

Ronova gets Paimon -> Vengeance and hopefully getting her back.

Ronova doesnt get Paimon -> More protection and the endgoal of keeping Paimon safe.

I prefer the second. I think theres a stronger motive there, especially in Tsaritsa willing teaming up with them. Her child + descendants werent something she could protect.. but she can help protect Paimon.

Like I said in my last post, theres something poetic about both times Traveler fought a Shade being in defense of their only remaining family.

And theres more poeticism to be found in this concept:

Traveler fighting Celestia to protect, driven by love, versus Abyss Twin fighting Celestia for revenge, driven by guilt.

theres something deeply poetic in the fact that both times Traveler had fought a Shade, it was to protect the only family they had left.

Asmoday to protect their twin.

Ronova to protect Paimon.

Theres upsettingly, a certain level of poeticism to be found in both Traveler failing to protect Paimon, or succeeding.

Though, Traveler did manage to actually get in physical damage this time - they didnt when facing Asmoday.

and their innate powers do still remain sealed…

I’d argue its more likely that Ronovas attack on Paimon is at the fights start.

Hoyo does rather enjoy splicing scenes together in less than honest ways.

And Traveler crashing tf out because Paimon got targeted over them, would make plenty of sense.

Ngl this is probably one of the first times we’ve really seen the Traveler this angry. Like they wanted Dottores neck, but they were still seemingly calm enough to not try an throw hands while disregarding a power gap + being alone without back up or meand to retreat, but that is NOT the case with Ronova.

Also, Ronova seemingly knowing what Paimon is???

Im pretty sure that among the non-joke names, that one is a pretty common choice? Ive seen a fair few people with it at least.

Chose it because i wanted a name that belonged to him, while still referencing his past. Smth like Fujin felt too directly to Raiden, but Arashi fit nice enough imo, with its meaning being basically storm/tempest.

Clearly, i put alotta thought into his name lol. I think i spent 2 hours just straight up doing research for it?

Look, the man asked me to give him a new name, and I took that seriously.

Way more seriously than probably like 90% of the playerbase..

Do you see what happened to abyss sibling as a deserved or a tragedy?

I’d consider everything that happened to the Abyss Twin before they made the Abyss Order a tragedy.

We are lacking information on the Viatwins, on what happened to their homeworld, why they are the only two left. It wouldnt surprise me if they played apart in its destruction. It wouldnt surprise me if they were connected to the Abyss far more than we know.

But even if we had that information, the Abyss Twin’s abuse in Khaenriah is still a tragedy.

The Abyss Twin was an amnesiac. They were brought into Khaenriah, unknowing of who they are, or their past, or anything.

And they were then turned into three things, all at once.

They were the ‘beloved’ heir of the Vinster King, propped up as messiah to the the people, a Savior, as said by Direidyth.

To those that resented the Vinster King’s rule, they were a scapegoat for whom to blame. Everything began to fall apart because of ‘that outsider’ after all. Tholindis believes that much.

And to the Vinster King, and likely many others working on the same things, they were a tool. A weapon. A sponge to soak up the Abyss, to use for their own goals.

And to the Sinners - they were nothing more than something to rip that powerful and split in amongst themselves.

They were a scapegoat, they were a messiah, and they were a weapon & tool.

What the Abyss Twin wasnt to Khaenriah, was ultimately a person.

There is a reason, that they searched so desperately for their sibling, even when their memories of them were still barely there. There is a reason, that they so quickly abandoned Khaenriah for them.

The Abyss Twin was undeniably abused, by Khaenriah.

That is part of why Dain holds as much guilt as he does towards them. Because he was a witness to at least part of it. And did nothing to stop it.

No matter what the Viatwins have caused in their past, tbe Abyss Twins time with Khaenriah remains a tragedy, and an unjust one.

Because there is a difference in retribution, and causing tragedy as repayment for past actions.

For example.

Dottore’s demise 2x over, was deserved, and carried out directly by people he himself harmed. It was directly connected to his past actions. It was brought unto himself by his own actions.

The Abyss Twin’s suffering in Khaenriah is not connected to anything they may have done in the past, nor to any people they had harmed. The one singular possible connection, is through the abyss.. which in no way does it actually count.

Khaenriah took what was essentially a homeless, amnesiac refugee, separated them from their sole family, and then proceeded to use and abuse them.

It is Khaenriah’s mistreatment of them, that has led directly to the Abyss Order’s existence. It is guilt that drives the Abyss Twin, guilt nurtured by the abuse and manipulation they underwent.

I remain a Abyss Twin defender. I do not deem them irredeemable. I do not believe they shouldnt face consequences- but only for the actions of the Abyss Order which they lead. Nothing of Khaenriah’s actions should be blamed on them. They were a victim.

Traveler deserves to throw hands with the Vinster King, that’s their siblingggg wjwnewks

What do you think of Wanderer and Traveler relationship? Their friendship and before ?

Also not related to topic but it’s funny how much Dottore fascinated with mechanism and how much they hate him in return Wanderer and Sandrone.

Wanderer is arguably one of Traveler’s closest friends.

(In my opinion, I’d say Traveler’s absolute closest & best friend is obviously Paimon. And then Traveler’s best friends are i’d argue Venti, Wanderer, Columbina, and Mavuika. heres other characters i’d day they have rather complex, deep relationships with - but those guys i’d say are the Traveler’s closest friends. Others like Skirk, Dain, Nahida - yes i’d say they’re close in a way Traveler isnt with others, but not in a ‘closest, best friends’ way. Not in any particular order. Asides Paimon being above the rest. Back to the actual topic now! Feel free to ask me to expand on that tho)

And Traveler is Wanderer’s closest friend.

Yes, he does have other deeply close relationships, such as Durin, Nahida, Albedo to some degree. Even Paimon & him are pretty close.

But its Traveler who he is closest with.

Traveler is the one person who knows the whole of him. Yes, Nahida knows who he was in the past, so did Dottore in Mr Data form (so like for 3 days max lol, not even)

But even if Nahida knows Wanderer’s true past… she doesnt actually remember it.

No, the one person who truly remembers him, is the Traveler.

And not only does Traveler remember Scaramouche.. but Traveler was also personally harmed by him directly. Not in a way where Scaramouches actions affected him, but literally Traveler was harmed by his own hand.

Part of Wanderer’s growth, is dependent on Traveler. In a way thats more.. nuanced than generally dependency. Not really in a way where he’s seeking Traveler’s forgiveness exactly. More so.. acknowledgement. Wanderer cannot change the past, he cannot erase the harm he has caused. He has tried.

Traveler’s acknowledgment of his growth, is not something that Wanderer actively seeks out. He is not that kind of person.

Wanderer would still work on himself, to try and be ebtter for himself, for the world, for the sake of those he harmed in the past, even without Traveler.

But Traveler is a vital part of Wanderer’s support system. Arguably the key part. Because if Wanderer can work to atone for what he did to Traveler, if Traveler who knows quite possibly borderline everything about Wanderer, can decide to chose to befriend him…

It does quite genuinely prove that not only is he not a lost cause as a whole, but that his efforts are actually paying off.

Wanderer quite possibly trusts Traveler near unconditionally. Which.. this is Mr Trust Issues, Mr ‘Everyone i cared for betrayed me’.

Wanderer did not trust Sandrone, in 6.3. No, he knew her, he knew her from his past, and even the current time. He knew he had a biased opinion from his past.

And then he placed his life into her hands anyways - because of the simple fact that Traveler themself trusted her.

And then theres also the whole thing with Wanderer’s new name.

Names have power, in Teyvat. Names are directly connected to someones fate. We see this very clearly with Durin’s whole story.

And Wanderer turned to Traveler, someone he was NOT at all close with at the time, and let them name him. He basically placed his fate into Traveler’s hands.

Considering that Traveler is a Descender and disconnected to fate, i’d also argue that that does have some pretty significant lore implications but anyways.

And Wanderer only wants Traveler to call them by that name. And he DOES want Traveler to use it, he says as much after rescuing Traveler from Dottore. But only Traveler. I’d say maybe the only other people to have used it, or even know it, are Paimon & Nahida.

Traveler meanwhile, probably trusts Wanderer as one of their closest friends.

They’re more willing to open up unprompted, they act more relaxed around Wanderer. They can read him easily, and Wanderer can do the same.

Traveler knows Wanderer always has their back. They worry more about Wanderer’s wellbeing than their own.

A large reason they hated Dottore as much as they did, was because of Dottore’s treatment of Wanderer.

Its smaller things. It looks like an unequal relationship, especially when I lay it all out like that.

And to some degree, it is. Wanderer is known wholly by Traveler, but not vice-versa.

But the degree in which Traveler is known, far surpasses about 98% of the cast. There are few people, who know Traveler as deeply as Wanderer does.

And that is a major show of trust from them.

Traveler does not want to be known. Traveler wants to remain Traveler. Not Aether or Lumine. A passersby in the greater scheme of things.

It is with few people, that Traveler lets themself be more than just the Traveler.

Hell, i’d go so far as to argue that Wanderer is tied with Columbina for the person currently most likely to be given the Traveler’s real name.

Partly because of their relationships being incredibly deep, and also because of the fact that names are already an important aspect of those characters arcs + relationship with Traveler.

Wanderer & Traveler are quite literally each others ride or die. To a stronger degree than either have with other characters.

Both have witnessed the others growth. Traveler has seen him go from Scaramouche to Hat Guy. And Wanderer has seen Traveler go from who they were, far back as likely 1.1 in the canon timeline, when they had just woken up, when they were still new to this world - all the way to who they are now. a traveler, to Teyvat’s Traveler.

Now.

Scaramouche & Traveler’s relationship?

Oh they fucking hated each other. They wanted the other DEAD, tbh.

Part of it probably was the fact they could see parts of themself in the other, and they didnt like that fact, nor what they saw.

Traveler & Scara could have easily ended up more like the other, and that was a mirror they didnt want placed in front of them.

Its ironic, because now, we do see both of them acting incredibly alike. They no longer hate the mirror, because their relationships is that of friendship rather than the willingness and want to throw hands lethally on sight.

Ngl, imo, i think some of the best character dynamics come from a pair of characters who were at each others throats and have now become besties. Peak, frfr.

And if Dottore was as weird about figuring out Wanderer and Sandrone as he was the Traveler.. you really cant blame them for hating him, ignoring everything else. Man was a freak and did not hide it…
