Wtf how is that making it about herself? Demi has been a role model for so many young girls who struggle with body confidence. She isn’t shooting down Zendaya for being happy about there being a Barbie that shows diversity, she’s trying to take to take it further and suggest what so many people have been suggesting for a long time - that there be a Barbie with accurate measurements. Just because she says that she wants to model it doesn’t mean that she’s making it ‘about herself’. Just because she’s tweeting about another idea for a Barbie doesn’t mean she’s trying to take attention away from one amazing milestone that’s been reached. Demi is a role model, Zendaya is a role model, and having them both be models for Barbie’s would inspire so many people around the world. Don’t look down on people who actually have good ideas and class it as ‘white feminism’.
