Honestly, what is the point of releasing this poll now?This is where the media irritates me. Yes, I value the media and their critical role in our society. But this is clearly a politically divisive issue, and after over a week of protests which have increasingly become less violent...military being deployed is less of an issue anyway. So, what does releasing this on a Sunday morning do? Fan the flames of divisiveness in our country. Uh. Release a poll on American understanding of the issues of racial injustice and support of specific reform measures. Far more productive, and if that gets done, America will have less worry about violent protests anyway.

Giving Facebook a rest indefinitely. Anyone notice how inconsequential people become on this platform without a significant other and children to show off? I’m proud of my life and current state of being single and having achieved more than I imagined as a child. That deserves as much encouragement as the all-too-common cute kid photo 😉 So I’m spending more time on platforms which appreciate the expression of who I am now, and where I am in my life. Because life is pretty magical and amazing while we await a life partner and children to share it with...or for those who never chose this path in the first place.

If you can recognize and acknowledge that your state of mind is creating the tone of your day, you can change it. There may be something on your mind right now - perhaps there has been a big disappointment. But this could change in the very near future to become quite auspicious. Stay hopeful and gravitate to the positive.

You may be tuning in to someone else's appraisal of you or some important work that you are doing. As you sometimes do, Cancer, you may be focusing on the words this person uses, their body language, and what you think they are thinking as they offer criticism. But this person's opinion should not be so important to you. You know what you are doing. You are knowledgeable and insightful, and if this person doesn't "get" what you have created, it is simply because they don't understand it, or they are not sophisticated enough to think that deeply. Tune in to your own appraisal. Let that be your guide.

Someone else's eccentricities or craziness may be distracting you a lot right now, Moonchild. You may wonder how to respond, what to do, and how to control it. But this is not your issue. This person is free to do what they wish to do, and even if their behavior incorporates you in some way, it is not your responsibility, nor your worry. Try to focus more on what is most important to you right now. You are in the midst of something very inspiring, and you are almost there! Let that be your "distraction."
