reblog from vmagazine:
"German artist Sarah Schönfeld has squeezed drops of various recreational legal and illegal liquid drug mixtures onto exposed negative film for ‘ All You Can Feel’, a photography series that visually reinterprets the physiological and psychological imbalance of substances in the body. Much like the chemical effect of some of these substances on humans, the resulting shapes and colors showcase some of the unique characteristics of each drug, each revealing a vivid, and intricately particular internal universe. By enlarging the chemical reaction of each drug, ‘all you can feel’ portrays the unknown interface between representation and reality.” ©sarah schoenfeld

Yet again the Leica gallery didn’t fail to disappoint. Several dozen photographic artists stood proud on bold, bright colours.
Darkened Cities by Thierry Cohen
Artist Thierry Cohen photographs the world’s major cities, seeking out views that resonate for him and noting the precise time, angle, and latitude and longitude of his exposure.
In Thierry Cohen’s series, Darkened Cities, we think we see bright night skies over cities. Very traditional, very poetical. Actually, what we’re seeing is the opposite. These skies are an indictment and a lament. These are the skies that we don’t see. They are also extremely clever photography, in which highly skilled execution provides rich layers of meaning.

A Portion of my Red Camera Collection | August 2014.
I know I have a problem. I don’t care. I’ve got red cameras. There’s plenty more where these came from. Don’t hate the player.
These gorgeous aerial shots of Miami’s and New York’s beaches were taken while hanging from a helicopter.
The colors and patterns of the umbrellas reveal which beaches are public and which are private.

5 x exposures on to one frame of 35mm film. Scenes had no connection apart from location and dissecting line through the centre of the frame. From memory: Brick wall, steps, hedge, roof, path.
35mm expired Kodak 400.

Unknown Photographers by Andrés Galeano
"Galeano has build up an extensive collection of found photographs, which have been neglected in Berlin closets and basements: a large amount of available personal pictures freezing a vast range of joyful and astonishing moments in the daily life as well as in important circumstances."

Water Bubble in Space
NASA astronaut Kevin Ford, Expedition 34 commander, watches a water bubble float freely between him and the camera, showing his image refracted, in the Unity node of the International Space Station.
