We love you. Thank you. - AH <3

a send off to ah.
i remember years ago when a gaming group I didnât really watch disbanded. i remember thinking at the time âI wonder if achievement hunter will ever endâ. It was my worst nightmare.
And here we are. Here we finally are.
Iâve kept my distance from ah since last year when a lot of things got dug up from the past. And Iâm not going to sit here now and pretend those skeletons didnât and still do exist. Nor will I ignore the harm they caused.
But as ah said âyou can do betterâ, and thankfully from their current/former now? employeesâ point of views, it seems like they did by the end. Even if that canât undo their past mistakes.
But no matter what, I still canât overstate the importance this group had on me. I found ah in middle school from a random tumblr post and it quickly became my biggest support. I struggled in middle/high school from being heavily introverted and struggling with anxiety.
But all Iâd have to remember was that there was going to be Minecraft on fridays. VS on tuesdays. GTA on mondays. As embarrassing as it sounds, it really kept me going.
There was a long stretch of my life where I didnât go a single day without watching some form of their content.
I remember so vividly having one of the worst days of my life as a 14 year old, crying my eyes out and thinking the world was going to end. Then the rainbow 6 letâs play of jack laughing at Gavin throwing a grenade at himself came out: Suddenly I was crying of laughter. Their content did that for me when nothing else could.
And I have hundreds of memories just like that.
It goes without saying thereâs been a lot of downs as an achievement hunter fan. And honestly I donât even want to go into detail because we all know some of the worst.
But to grow from a 13 year old to a 24 year old through their content, I canât not at least recognize something that had such an effect on me for almost half of my life.
A part of me is surprised I am so sad by the news considering how long it has seemingly been on the horizon. But I also canât wipe their importance from my life. And though I rarely watched their content over the last year, still knowing it is gone hurts.
So I have handled this like any normal person would, i bought the piece of retired merch I never was able to get off eBay to remember them by, and wrote this way too wordy and sentimental post.
And with that, thanks for a lot achievement hunter. đđ¤
Forgot to post this here, but fanart of Jack in drag! (I didn't do the makeup JUSTICE, so sorry Lawrie Bird...)
geoff coming back to the let's play channel to play video games like, 5 years after leaving AH because he got burnt out on video games:
It's the end of an era, folks.
Achievement Hunter has been a huge part of my life since I was 15. I am going to continue to be sad over AH coming to an end, but also looking forward to the rebrand with Dogbark.
It's been such a fun ride with AH, they have helped me through so many hard times in my life and I'm so lucky to have gotten to be a part of this amazing community.
This is the end of an era, but the beginning of a whole new one. I'm excited to see what Michael, Trevor, Alfredo, and Joe will do on the new channel.
Love you, Achievement Hunter. Thanks for some pretty badass timesđđ¤đđ¤
Achievement Hunter is changing and we're taking you with us
As you may have noticed, Achievement Hunter has gone through a number of changes this year. Weâve grown a bit smaller as our cast has moved on to work on exciting new ventures, including Inside Gaming and VTubing. Today, we are pleased to announce the launch of Dogbark, a new content group featuring Michael Jones, Alfredo Diaz, Trevor Collins, and Joe Lee.Â
Rooster Teeth is at its best when employees have been given the opportunity to pursue new creative passions. Fifteen years ago, this meant giving Geoff the ability to create Achievement Hunter. And today, this means letting the Achievement Hunter cast move on to new creative projects.
Over the last few years, this has allowed our cast to put time into creating F**kface, ANMA, Red Web, Face Jam, and more. More recently, Jack and BK have put their efforts into streaming at Inside Gaming, Lindsay has begun exploring Vtubing as Ruby, and Ky is producing multiple projects, including some of those listed above.
With all of our new focuses, this means we will not be actively creating content for the Achievement Hunter channel. Letâs Play will also look a little bit different moving forward, but we can assure you that itâs not going anywhere, and itâs in great hands.
But why Dogbark, and not just new shows under the Achievement Hunter banner? At this point in our creative careers, we have grown as both people and as entertainers. Much like how early Achievement Hunter evolved from video game guides to Letâs Plays, weâre looking to take Dogbark in a bold new direction that is more heavily focused on improv and sketch comedy. Itâs new. Itâs fun. Itâs weird. And itâs such a departure from what Achievement Hunter has been that we feel Dogbark is truly its own thing.
Weâre very excited to share these projects with all of you, and we really do hope youâll enjoy all the new content we have in store. Through the years, weâve reached heights we never thought possibleâfrom Haunter to the Hardcore series, from RTX Panels to AH Live Tours. Whether you joined us back in 2008 or 2023, we couldnât have done this without you. We have been met with so much support as weâve grown and changed over the years, and we canât thank you enough for that.
We know this news might be shocking and saddening for you. Itâs bittersweet. On one hand, weâre saying âSee you laterâ to a truly indescribable brand. On the other, weâre getting to pursue new passions, explore, test ourselves as creators, and thatâs an incredibly exciting experience. Itâs hard to do the same thing for our whole lives, and we shouldnât have to. But, just because weâre not a part of AH anymore doesnât mean that we didnât appreciate the time spent there, or with you.
Itâs okay to be sad; itâs okay to take time to process. After, when youâre ready, come join us over at Inside Gaming, F**kface, RWBYâs Twitch, Dogbark, Red Web, Face Jam, ANMA, and SoâŚAlright. Weâll be waiting for you.
Love,Â
-AH

Weâve anticipated your questions and have created an FAQ below that will hopefully provide answers.
Where are [insert the AH person you are looking for] going?
Honestly, nowhere. Theyâre still here at Rooster Teeth, but are jumping into new exciting opportunities that bring them joy and passion.Geoff and Gavin are focusing on F**kface, Jack and BK are streaming over with Inside Gaming, Lindsay is launching a RWBY Vtubing Twitch, and Ky is producing these projects. Michael, Trevor, Alfredo, and Joe are excited to announce their new project, Dogbark, which launches 10/2.
Does this mean AH content is going away?
Nope. Itâll exist in perpetuity online. Both on Rooster Teeth Site and Apps as well as the AH YouTube channel.
Will AH ever return?
Think of it like your favorite band going on hiatus. We donât want to close the door completely and turn off all the lights. Thereâs always the chance that One Direction will come back.
Is Letâs Play content and channel going away?
Also nope! But stay tuned, you might recognize who will start showing up (and reshowing up) there.
