Im new to sims4 and all the modding stuff, is it possible for you to recommend me some mods for customizing faces? also how do i make the faces look like yours? Is it like all makeup/skin or you have to get handsy with all the customization with the eyes, nose, eyebrows, lips etc?

TLDR: I'd say that it's both heavy makeup and lots of manual adjustments; i try to use every makeup / skin detail section, but some features take less time adjusting on average (eyebrows, nose, cheeks, etc). Which part takes longer mostly depends on if i can find the right cc that saves time on adjustments ^_^
To start, these are things I always use / have:
Color slider mod - useful for adjusting opacity and brightness of skin details and makeup
Default skin replacement - I typically still use other skins on top but it's still much better than the EA default
Reshade - (3rd party mod) affects the overall look of the game
Lighting replacement - helps reduce harsh shadows and evens out their skin complexion (linked is the one i use for CAS)
The last 2 aren't exactly for customizing but they do a lot of heavy lifting in terms of how a sim looks. For clearer examples, my sim dls include a pic w/ vs w/o (not a plug its just a hassle taking them in and out of my folder lol) and a cc list for mods i use that i might not mention here specifically
In terms of mods for customizing faces, imo sliders and CAS presets are the most important for adjusting the facial features. I'll always use sliders to mould (?) the features to my liking but the custom presets are rlly helpful for getting a good starting point, and sometimes i'll only need minimal adjustments like resizing / rotating etc.
Recs: I have all my sliders listed on my resources page, but overall I'd say the sliders i use the most are pirumxsim's slider 04, 07, and 08, miiko's eyebrow slider 01, obscurus' esotropia & exotropia slider, magicbot's default mouth slider, bloodmoon's forehead height slider and marsosims' eye size slider.
i don't really have specific presets i always use but a lot of them are by @/northernsiberiawinds, @/obscurus-sims, @/eunosims, @/simtonee, @/mayasim4 and hws
As for making sims like mine, i usually start with an inspo picture, then try to find presets that better matches what i'm trying to recreate and adjust from there. i play around with a lot of different sliders to see what works, it's a lot of undo and redo-ing to compare the changes and see what i like more. Face cc helps with the smaller details, but different skins can also affect how the facial features look.
next is makeup and skin details!! this takes me the longest bc i somehow feel the need to try and utilize every category (not that u have to) eg. cc for face shading, shadows / highlights, mouth corners, and other skins for layering, so the same trial-and-error approach applies here
sidenote: a cas organizer is really useful for this part, i use it to visually keep track of skin detail categories i already have cc in so i don't have to guess if adding something will remove something else
for example, this is one of my sims with skin + skin details + makeup, no skin details, no makeup, all removed
Recs: This is a lot more varied, but I have a lot of cc by @/katrina-y, @/simtonee, COOKIE, @/asansan3, @/goppolsme, @/cosimetic, @/northernsiberiawinds, @/remussirion, @/pralinesims, @/euviibunni
Skins also depend on the sim, but i use / layer these skins the most often: one | two (soyun skin) | three | four
i also use these details for a lot of my sims: philtrum | skin tint | circle lenses | sclera overlay | face shader, and the lip liners from this set to soften the mouth edges

hello!! contacts are Eyes N1 by @/topanga999 + circle lenses skin detail by @/veneriancc; i believe i only used presets for face, nose & lips, all by eunosims (currently paywalled)
as for my bjd sims, i can upload them like I've done with previous sim dls (so i'm only linking the cc used, sorry </3) but i'll prolly post them one at a time so the posts aren't too long and cluttered

Roma (ロマ; Romantic) is a sub-style of Gyaru. The colours are more subtle and muted and patterns range from floral to plaid and polka dot. The style is very relaxed and considered one of the more 'casual' gyaru sub-styles. (gyaru wiki)
