I saw this randomly but…

I’m not sure if I’m the first to notice this but remember how when we first saw Smoky Quartz and Steven and Amethyst unfused and people were pointing out that Amethyst was made of light and Steven was just a solid human?

(Here’s the picture because I’m bad at explaining things)

Well looking back at the newest episode I noticed that when Steven unfuses with Pearl and Amethyst, he’s made of light this time

I’m not really sure what this was meant to show (because I’m an idiot) if it was anything but if y’all have any idea what this means then it’d be cool to hear about it.

Also if someone else has covered this and their theory then please let me know, I don’t want it to come off as I’m stealing someone’s idea or something

Padparadscha’s Purpose

Ever since the introduction of Padparadscha, the Sapphire who can’t see the future but instead sees things that have just occurred, there has been speculation about whether she can be useful in some way, or if she is just around for comedy relief.

In fact, Padparadscha doesn’t seem to be able to connect to the present at all.

All Sapphires have their eye hidden by their hair, but in Padparadscha’s case, it seems to be more literal than for Garnet’s Sapphire.

So what is Padparadscha’s purpose in the story other than providing us with a laugh every now and then? Surely the writers understand that the Slowpoke meme also gets tiring eventually?

Theories have suggested that Padparadscha might have the ability to see the past, but so far we haven’t seen any indications that it would be the case. 

However, Padparadscha seems to be able to see things that happened beyond what is right in front of us.

When Garnet meets the group, Padparadscha straight up tells her that she predicts Garnet is going to make everyone uncomfortable. Garnet did not see this until Padparadscha pointed it out. Padparadscha could see something that wasn’t clear-cut and obvious- the feeling in the room.

Padparadscha’s abilities become even more clear when she says that Lars is going to push the wrong button. Nobody knew that it was the wrong button. They knew he was pushing a button, but not that it was the wrong one.

I don’t know about the correct terminology for a power like this…

Whatever said ability would be called: it proved to be useful in this episode, and I’m sure it’s going to serve a greater purpose later on, when we least expect it.

THEORY: white pearl was the original pink pearl

Our pearl was given to pink. The word used is “given” not “made for”. Why? Because our pearl was originally whites pearl. She came out defective, not pure white, and was given to Pink. What evidence is there for this? We will start with our pearl. She shares gem placement with white, something that is true for yellow and blue pearl with their diamonds as well. In her original outfit, she has similar design elements (pattern, no stockings) to white.

 “white pearl” has been damaged. Why? Because she was originally pink and not white. Evidence? She has Pink’s gem placement, gloves, stockings, and fluffy hairdo. 

I recoloured how I suspect they would look now if they had never been swapped.

So um, why were we surprised about this again?

They basically just swapped hair and skin colours and then switched the pallets.

When a diamond heals physiclly a damaged being, they get their colour scheme and keep minor injuries like scars.

They Revealed That Steven Universe Was Pink Diamond In Season 2

Remember that episode “Say Uncle”? The April Fools episode in which “nothing was canon”?

Uncle Grandpa tells Steven that he needs to get his gem polished “twice a year”- every six months.

Looking back, this is strange. Rose Quartz does not need to be polished at all- it’s just not needed.

But, what does need to be polished twice a year? Diamond.

According to a gem cleaning website, TheSpruce, diamonds need to be professionally cleaned “once every six months”. Or twice a year.

A line ignored in an April Fools episode revealed the biggest plot twist in the show’s history.
