If you were to get a call from a prospective client saying that they wanted to know how a previous client’s garden was done because they wanted something similar, how would you handle it?”

Neve nodded in understanding. “Of course, Ms. Capulet.” She thought about how to answer before speaking. “Well, I wouldn’t give client information without that client’s written or verbal consent. So, the prospective client would have to come to me with that information, I wouldn’t give it to them. If it were an issue further, I would direct them to you.”

“Hard limits remain hard limits and you would never knowingly be placed in a scene which would involve those.  Should the Dominant want to incorporate something which is a hard limit then you stop the scene and summon help and I or one of my assistants would deal with the Dominant.  There are a number of procedures and rules in place to keep my staff safe and there is always security on hand so I would say my staff are as safe as I can keep them.  Speaking of hard limits do you have many?”

Neve nodded in understanding. She was thankful for the policies Tru had put into place. It made her feel like she’d be safe and cared for if she were to get a job there. “Honestly? No. Watersports, heavy asphyxiation, and permanent marks are hard limits for me. If I were to have a permanent mark, I’d want it done by my Dominant if I had one and I don’t want to lose consciousness in a scene because of lack of oxygen.” She always liked to please as much as she could.

Tru nodded with interest at the description, “That sounds like a very enjoyable scene.  Pleasant and safe within the confines of the brothel….but what if there was Dominant who wanted something you don’t particularly enjoy?  How would you feel having to serve them when you don’t really feel it?”

“Well, I would trust that you’d try to place me with someone I may be compatible with. If it was a hard limit, I would say something. However, softer limits I’d be able to work through. Just because it’s not my preference doesn’t mean I wouldn’t do them if my Dominant wanted it. I think everything is worth a conversation and I think I’d be safe here, so I wouldn’t be worried it would go too far.” Neve replied, not sure if it was the right answer or not, but it’s what came to mind.

Deo pressed a kiss to the top of her head. “Of course you would. You can’t get rid of me that easy.” He teased lightly, a smile warming his expression before he grew more solemn again. “I’m glad you are safe.” he whispered as his arms tightened reflexively around her. “Get some rest. I’ll still be here when you wake up.” He assured quietly. 

Neve sniffed, her tears having left long ago, but the aftershocks still rocking through her. “I’m glad you’re safe.” She replied. She held on to the fact that he’d also said she couldn’t get rid of him that easily. She sighed. “I don’t think I can sleep. Every time I close my eyes, I see angry people.”

Diana paused to let the woman think through the options but smiled encouragingly when she gave her response. It was the position that needed to be filled more desperately, so that worked with her needs. “Very well. As part of this job, you’ll need to be able to multitask across several responsibilities and manage a number of details. Can you tell me of another time you were able to use those skills?”

Neve nodded as Diana spoke, taking in her direction. She worried her bottom lip between her teeth before letting it loose and speaking. “Well, I used to be in a relationship with two people. I was the one who stayed home. I helped to manage their schedules and mine to make meals at the right time and such. I’m not sure if that’s the kind of thing you’re looking for, Ms. Capulet.”

“At this point in time, we have two openings here at Vast. One of them would be as part of our gardening staff. In that role, you would travel around the city, helping to maintain the various gardens of our clients. It would be difficult work that keeps you on your feet all day, but you would be working with your hands to keep spaces beautiful. The other opening would be as the receptionist here in the office. It would be your job to organize all of the scheduling of our branches, take messages, connect clients to their correct person to suit their needs, and help us continue to grow and maintain our business.”

“I could do either.” Neve began. She wasn’t the best at making decisions on the spot. She quickly weighed the pros and cons and then nodded. “I think that I’d be better suited for the receptionist job.” She told her honestly.

“That’s important.  You have to make the Dominant feel like they are the sole focus of your interest and then be able to walk away and repeat that process with someone else,” Tru agreed.  “Tell me what your ideal scene would be.”

Neve nodded in agreement. She could totally do that. Neve thought about it and smiled, thinking about her ideal scene. “I’d be kneeling for the Dominant before they even arrived. I’d have put a blindfold on to further heighten my hearing so I could know when they came in.” She started, continuing smiling as she spoke. “I’d have a rope or some sort of ties in a pile by my form and my hands would be behind my back. I’d be in only panties. The Dominant would come and tie me up. We’d have discussed safe words prior, so no words would be needed. Just my complete trust to them. They’d tie my up and then get me up if they desired. Or I’d please them with my mouth there on my knees. Once they were ready for me, they’d bend me over the bed and rip my panties off. They’d do with me as they pleased and I’d be a very willing participant in the entire encounter...When they were finished, they’d undo my ties and take off my blindfold and cuddle me or tuck me into bed.” Neve felt a blush come to her cheeks. She’d never really voiced it out loud like that before.

Diana knew that she needed to leave for lunch soon. But her current receptionist had just turned in her notice because she had decided to return home, and while Diana couldn’t blame her, it was frustrating to have to start looking for a replacement again. Every one else was out of the office when she saw the woman standing in her open door. Well. That was opportune. “Hello Neve. My name is Diana Capulet, and it’s a pleasure to meet you. Why don’t you take a seat and tell me what brought you in here today.”

“Hello, Ms. Capulet.” Neve offered Diana a small smile. She was nervous, but she pushed the feelings aside. “It’s a pleasure as well.” She went and sat as instructed. “I am looking for a job. I don’t have much experience, but I promise I’m a fast learner. I love to do things with my hands and love beautiful things, which is what attracted me to your shop.” She started.

Deo knew where he could find her. He pushed open the door to her hotel room, her key in hand, shifting the furniture out of the way as he did so. He shut it behind him as he saw the bundle of blankets tremble. “It’s all right.” he murmured quietly as he lifted her from the bathtub and carried her into the bedroom. Laying her on the bed, he held that little bundle until slowly a seam was made and he could see her face. He pulled the blankets over the both of them and curled around her.  With his cheek against the top of her dark head and his arm around her, he could finally fall asleep himself.

Neve wasn’t sure how long she’d been in her tub. She’s gotten inside her room and used most of her strength to push the dresser against the door. She grabbed her blankets and wrapped herself in them and then shut herself in the bathroom. She was shaking like a leaf when she heard the door click open. The door was being pushed open and she hoped to god it was Deo. When she heard him come into the bathroom and heard his voice, she let out a shuddering sob. He lifted her and she was just so damn tired. When he got them in the bed, her body relaxed and the covers moved and she saw his handsome face. He pulled the blankets over both of them and she was safe. Deo was here. “I didn’t know if I’d ever see you again...” Neve whispered into the quiet room after a while.

Neve offered the woman a polite smile. “Nice to meet you, Miss.” She nodded her head slightly. “I was hoping to work at the brothel. I’m not skilled in much besides being good…or whatever a Dominant needs me to be.” She told her easily. “I would probably require some training, but I promise I’m a fast learner.”

Tru nodded towards another room, “Let’s go and talk through here.”  Sitting down behind a low table she indicated for the submissive to sit too.  “What makes you think that you would be a good whore?  Beside the fact you know how to be good of course.”

Neve nodded and followed the woman. She sat after being told to, trying to show that she could obey even the smallest of orders. “I am able to separate myself from my work. Work stays at work. I don’t have silly ideals of how someone should be with me outside of here. I- I think I could be good at not attaching to a Dominant.” It was true because she was attached to Deo and Anji. She wouldn’t be able to give her heart over to anyone else currently.

Dammit. Ludo should have approached someone else, someone who seemed clearly more involved than this woman was. But seeing the submissive’s tears, she couldn’t just leave her and find someone who did know more. “Hey…” She took the woman’s hands in her own and pulled her to the side, away from where the majority of people were running through the streets. “I’m scared too, but we need to keep our wits about us, okay? Where are you trying to go?”

Neve looked down at the hands that took hers. She nodded absently and then looked up at the other woman. “Y-yes. Of course. Uh-um...I- I’m trying to get back to the motel. I need to get back to the motel.” Neve replied again. “I’m sorry, M-miss. I’m so scared.” She admitted.

Neve: I was at the market. People stole my bags. I'm trying to get back to the motel.

There was chaos in the city. She had seen the news and had immediately been out the door. This would be the perfect story if she could manage to get information from people taking part in the riots. There were people all over, some looking scared, some looking angry, some even a bit excited. While she had to admit she was part of the latter, her face didn’t betray her and instead she ran up to somebody and asked with wide eyes,  “What’s going on?”

Neve had no clue what was going on. She berated herself internally for not being more intertwined with the daily life of Verona. She had been out at the market to get food when things started to get more intense. She’d paid and left, but not before people were in her face and stealing her bags from her hands. She was thankful she didn’t carry around a purse and her money and phone where in the pockets of her outfit. She needed to get back to the motel. She started running, only stopping when she practically ran into another woman. “I- I don’t know.” She was shaken up and tears were threatening to spill over.
