you get into your car making your way to his house a little bit nervous but that was normal u thought right.

you arrived at his house getting out of the car and walking to his door knocking ur palms were sweaty and heartbeat racing.he opens the door eyeing you up and down.

he closes the door and pulled a knife out his back pocket putting it to your neck.

You wake up in Dallys bed close to his chest his arm wrapped around you. He never let you go at night he was scared you’d disappear or something. You feel this sort of throb in your neck it didn’t hurt too bad but it definitely ached a little.

you slip out of dallys grip walking to the bathroom quietly not wanting to wake his sleepy figure. Turning on the light you see these purple marks on your neck. As you weren’t experienced at all in fact Dallas was your first boyfriend you immediately tought something was terribly wrong. you walk over to the bed trying to wake him up.

“dal wake up please i think somethings wrong” you say a sense of panic laced my voice.

He grumbles his eyes still closed “what’s wrong princess”

The Curtis house was loud, as usual. Soda was dancing around the kitchen with a broom like it was a microphone, and Steve was arguing with Two-Bit over who cheated at cards. Ponyboy sat on the couch with Johnny, trying to ignore all of it while reading.

And you? You were trying not to look at Dallas Winston, who had been quiet the whole time.

It wasn’t like him.

He was leaned back in Darry’s chair, arms crossed, eyes half-lidded like he was only half-listening. But every now and then, his gaze flicked toward you. Just for a second.

You caught him once.

He didn’t flinch or look away. Just stared back, like it didn’t matter that you’d noticed.

You tore your eyes from him, pretending to laugh at something Two-Bit said.

It wasn’t supposed to be like this. You didn’t like him. Not really. He was cocky, rude, impossible to talk to without wanting to throw something.

But that didn’t explain why your heart sped up every time he walked into a room.

Or why he hadn’t spoken a word to you since you got there—and it bothered you.

You finally stood up and wandered into the kitchen, needing something to do.

He followed.

Of course he did.

“Thirsty?” he asked from behind you.

You didn’t look at him. “Didn’t come in here to talk.”

He stepped closer. “Never do.”

You grabbed a glass and turned slowly, leaning against the counter. “What’s your problem with me, anyway?”

He tilted his head. “You think I’ve got a problem with you?”

You raised a brow. “Don’t you?”

His eyes met yours—calm, unreadable. “Nah.”

That was it. Just nah. Like he wasn’t the one who constantly picked fights, teased you, pushed your buttons like it was his job.

You exhaled sharply. “You’re impossible.”

“And you’re cute when you’re mad.”

That stopped you. You blinked, caught off guard by the sudden shift in his tone.

He wasn’t grinning. He wasn’t messing with you. His voice was quiet—like he hadn’t meant to say it out loud.

You stared at him. “What did you say?”

He looked away. “Nothing.”

You stepped forward. “No, say it again.”

He looked back at you, jaw tight. “Don’t make me.”

There it was—that wall again. The one he always threw up when things got too real. You didn’t know what you expected. He was still Dally. Still guarded. Still a mess.

But for a second, just one second, you saw something softer.

Something honest.

You reached past him to grab a soda from the counter, your arm brushing his. You could feel the tension between you both, thick and sharp.

As you passed by him on your way out, you paused.

“You’re not as smooth as you think, Winston.”

And you didn’t wait for a response.

But you could feel his eyes on you the whole way back to the living room.

It was a cold night in Tusla much colder than usual, you had dallys leather jacket wrapped around you when you look over to see him staring at another girl. You huffed clearly annoyed at him but that huff made him mad real mad he was already on the edge today sometimes he just like that.

“What ya huffing at” he says scoffing and rolling his eyes “who do you think” you say a hint of hurt in your voice “Oh I see a man’s not aloud look at another girl now ay is that it” he says his frustration growing bigger by the second. “No its jus.” You didn’t even get to finish your sentence “it’s what? what is it huh?” He says towering over me “you never look at me dally like that it’s always other girls and it hurts dal it hurts.” He pauses “Wel that’s cus u don’t do anything ur so innocent ur gorgeous I mean perfect but your just not experienced.”

A tear runs down my face at his words I turn on my heel and make my way home my sight blurry with tears. “Hey hey I didn’t mean it like” it was to late he couldn’t finish his sentence I was already out of ears reach. He huffs guilt taking over him like some sort of disease.

That night u stay awake at night staring at the ceiling and so does he. You snuggle into his leather jacket taking in the smell of cheap cologne and cigarettes holding onto the necklace he stole for you, drifting off to sleep.

Dallas couldn’t sleep he stayed up with the same guilt. But no he couldn’t go to your house sure he couldn’t.

The next few days you didn’t eat anything loosing noticeable weight u didn’t need to loose. You were just so conflicted by the fight you didn’t understand.

Dallas had had enough he stormed out of bucks walking to yours. He climbs onto the roof tapping at your window. Only one person did that so you knew who it was. “Dallas?” I walk over to the window opening it. “What do yo-“ he cut me off by kissing me intently full of passion and sorrow. Pulling away he says. “ I love you.
