“all i’m saying is, we need a good party around these parts. i’m thinkin’ a rave, costumes, black lights, all that good spooky shit.” jace was going on about the lack of entertainment in their life lately, again, hoping the universe would answer their prayers someday soon. as much as they wanted a big party, they were also way too lazy to plan one out and make it happen. “or, what? are you goin’ to deny that this place is lackin’ in the fun department as of late? maybe i’m just not lookin’ in the right places, hm? what do you think, mate?”
“That’s all you’re thinking?” Teddy asked, turning to face the man he’d been eavesdropping on. He was an animated character, moving like a jokester with a tough edge. Guarded. “You’ve gotta add in some fog machine, some of those animatronics, and of course there needs to be punch to spike.” His eyebrows wiggled and then he leaned in a bit closer, squinting like someone that couldn’t see very well because... well, he couldn’t see very well. He’d lost his glasses. “What’s up...? I’m pretty sure I don’t know you, but you could be Santa Claus for all I can tell. I’m Teddy-- Corporal Duchamp if you’re feeling formal.” It was something he’d said ever since childhood, he wasn’t really a Corporal, though his dad had served time.
