Carter Aaron Millhouse was born July 18 in San Diego, California, though his family moved to LA when he was only seven-years-old. His mother, Vanessa Taylor-Millhouse runs one of the top talent agencies in LA, and is known for representing and ‘making’ some of the biggest names in Hollywood. His father, Jamison Millhouse, is a chef extraordinaire, having been a personal chef to numerous celebrities, owning one of the most prestigious catering companies in LA, and owning several successful restaurants all over California. Carter is an only child, though given his antics that is probably for the best. 

Although Carter is highly intelligent, he has always been a bit of a wild child. Growing up, his parents didn’t seem to have much time for him, always devoted to their work, and focusing on their next opportunity, their next goal, their next big person or thing. Raised primarily by nannies, Carter began to act out fairly young, doing whatever he could to get his parents’ attention. No matter what, though, it seemed that nothing he did would ever be enough to gain the attention he sought. By his teenage years, Carter’s antics had shifted closer to pranks played on his teachers, and in general, though the attitude he had developed continued to worsen. He began to earn a reputation as a ‘tough guy’, the guy who had no fucks to give, who said what he though and pulled no punches. He kept a small, tight-knit group of friends, and wasn’t really interested in socialization beyond those who had proven they could be trusted. 

Despite his behavior and attitude, Carter has always done well in school, pushing himself only to ensure he was able to leave home as soon as possible. His relationship with his parents remains shaky, and although they often attempt to involve him for nothing more than appearances, he has done his best to distance himself from them. Still, his name has earned him many favors in life- a guaranteed spot at Luxe being one of them. He has gotten into some trouble over the years, though nothing that follows him as his parents have made sure to do whatever it took to make those blemishes disappear. As always, anything to attempt to preserve the family’s image.

After seeing the alert on his phone, Teddy swallowed the lump in his throat at the evidence of his father’s abuse being shown to the entire school. He’d grown up with people in town calling his dad insane and crazy, he was known as ‘the son of a looney.’ He hated it and it made him seethe with rage. But everyone else’s secrets were exposed and out there too and somehow, that stopped him from threatening to shit down someone’s throat. Instead, he tried to make light of it, in shock maybe as he turned to look at his Dom and said, “So you’re a mob boss. When were you gonna let me say hello to your little friend?”

Carter had been awake when the alarm had gone off. Lately, he’d found himself sleeping less, doing his best to try and figure out the best and newest ways to assist Teddy on his journey. The truth was, he knew they were soulmates. He’d seen the mark on Teddy’s back, and he knew Teddy had seen the one on his as well. Still, he feared the administration at Luxe wouldn’t allow him to claim Teddy until the submissive’s grades had been brought up, and everything else had gotten on track. Startled by the sudden alarm, he picked up his phone, eyes scanning everything as it all went by. Seeing his own exposure sparked a glimmer of anger in him, though it didn’t take long for his normally even demeanor to return (at least on the surface). Carter wasn’t reactive in the sense that he felt the need to blow up or make a scene in the moment, though he was reactive in his vindictiveness, in his determination to come out on top and to get even. Seeing Teddy’s exposure, though, and knowing what his submissive would feel, what he must be thinking, sent Carter over an edge mentally he hadn’t been aware he was standing on. “Come here, Teddy.” He ordered simply, pointing to the space between his feet when his submissive spoke. It was obvious he was trying to make light of the situation, though Carter wasn’t going to let the incident slide. He needed to ensure Teddy was alright. “You’re funny, you know you are. Even to his own ears it sounded a little desperate, but Stolas was desperate, he’d do anything to patch up the rift in his relationship with his daughter, things had already started getting rocky once she hit those pesky tween years but since the separation they’d only been getting worse, and now that he was so far away from her wile her mother got to keep her close all the time…..

He just didn’t want Octavia to forget about him…

Stolas swore that everytime he hung up, a tiny part of him just fucking died…. he could feel the ache turning into a blistering burn in his chest, like acid slowly rotting away what little heart he had to begin with, but as though the fading of his heart brought a sixth sense out in him, he felt the presence of someone behind him and quickly turned around, forcing a smile faker than plastic flowers at the stranger

Carter had been making his way to the Dining Hall, focused on meeting Teddy for dinner. He moved quickly, glancing at his watch more than once as he navigated through the halls of the Academy. Things between them had been going well, better than they ever had with anyone else, and that was without the mention of the mark on his back that had grown leaps and bounds since the submissive had practically moved in with him. Teddy hadn’t always had the easiest of times, Carter was more than aware of that, and it had become abundantly clear after only a short time together that should he choose to pursue something with the other man, he’d be starting completely from scratch when it came to training, and teaching him the most basic of life skills. Currently, he was focusing on assisting Teddy with building a schedule, a routine, and getting into important daily habits. Which, of course, lead to Carter being hyperfocused on ensuring he himself arrived on-time for dinner. 

Initially, he passed the other quickly, not giving much thought to the bits of conversation he heard. That was, until the end. Something in the man’s body language, in his tone, made Carter stop his journey, turning back to face the other. When the man turned, it was obvious the smile plastered on his face was fake, giving Carter even more pause. “Uh- what?” He asked, laughing a bit at the question, and the use of a pet name. “First off, if you’re a submissive, that’ll be ‘Sir’ to you. Second off...” His voice trailed as he searched for the most casual yet appropriate words he could muster. “...You good?”

Teddy was used to spending as much time as possible with the same small group of people, so it felt normal for him to have spent all of the time that he could with Carter since they’d started hanging out. He wasn’t a very submissive person for a Submissive, or at least that’s what he had thought before Carter. It turned out he just needed the right touch. He went out quickly when he was called and hummed an “mhm” as he came out and sat in the Dominant’s lap. “Corporal Duchamp reporting for duty, Sir, what’s up?”

When Teddy slid into his lap, Carter couldn’t help but to smile. Leaning in, he pressed two gentle kisses to the submissive’s cheek, wrapping his free arm around the man’s middle to pull him closer. Things had been up and down with them at the start of things, but something had urged Carter to keep at it, to not give up, and to work on bettering their communication. It had worked, and the past couple of weeks together had proven to him that he’d made the right decision.
