hmm i wonder what the non-fixed version was like.
The best version of Charlie Chaplan's speech.
if this is wrong, i dont want to be right.
Taken in the Johns Hopkins University MSE library.
Typical.
I remember sleeping on that exact couch on the left with chelseachoo and aravind!
the best.
postfeminism stays most classy.
but at least, we've got each other.
wah, pretty
MAGNETS. HOW DO THEY WORK?
Lead researcher Prof Andres Lozano said you would expect the hippocampus to shrink by five per cent on average in a year in patients with Alzheimer's.
After 12 months of stimulation, he said one patient had a five per cent increase and another had an eight per cent increase.
Aaah how awesome! If the brain works as I think it works then that could only mean that "stimulation could create new nerve cells." How neat! A greater number of neurons means a greater number of possible synapses.
Dave Monks' voice is just excellent on this.
oh, baby baby.
Oh Jose Delgado, you badass, you. No one has shaped my hopes for neuroengineering like you have. what foresight and insight you had. blah it really stresses the engineering portion of it though. i'll certainly need to get on that. i'm supposed to be editing my hemingway essay now. it's fitting how similar the bullfighting metaphor is in the sun also rises to the possibilities of these mind-augmenting neuromodulation technologies. If we are to assume that Jake is the bullfighter and his wild emotions are his bull, then we may one day give everyone the power to control themselves and assume the position of the matador. Until then some of us will be steers and some of us will be bulls and some will be gored in the streets.
