Chocolate of the Moment… OCHO Candy!

The kind folks over at OCHO Candy sent this generous care package to me…what a great surprise! I was already a fan of their dark chocolate Coconut Bar, so I swiped all of those out of the box before my 3 kids could get their hands on this yummy loot. 

OCHO is based right here in the San Francisco Bay Area, and their mission is to provide a delicious organic alternative to traditional candy bars. Their bars are hand-crafted out of the finest ingredients. No preservatives, additives or artificial flavors…kudos to them! 

Thank you, OCHO, for the gift, and for making candy bars I'm willing to buy for my kids...and that are sooo tasty! My teens especially love the Mocha and Dark Coffee ones (what is it with teens and coffee these days?!), and my youngest is a fan of the Peanut Butter Bar and the Caramel & Peanut. And for me…yep, coconut!

Congratulations to Chelsea Clinton who, today, announced that she is pregnant with her first child! Ms. Clinton isn't due until the fall, so I'm sure we'll be hearing lots more about this baby...which will be sort of like a "royal baby" for U.S. Democrats.

Chocolate of the Moment… Dick Taylor's Maple Coconut bar

This is the second time Dick Taylor Craft Chocolate has made it onto my blog in as many months. I can't help it…these guys make some incredible chocolate bars! I'm a huge fan of coconut combined with dark chocolate, so I was happy to finally get my hands on this Maple Coconut bar…and it did not disappoint. Great texture and flavor.

This is a delicious 71% high quality chocolate bar made from organic cacao from the Caribbean island of Granada, along with a light sprinkling Caribbean Sea salt. Right up my alley…simple, well-sourced, and oh so tasty! Reasonably priced, too.
