RNC attendees tried to hide a demonstrator’s “No racism, No hate” sign with an American flag. Clearly they failed to see the irony. The protester was from the Code Pink group — who haven’t been slowed down by this at all.

Using an American flag to cover up someone calling for an end to racism and hate is the best metaphor I’ve seen in a long time for the GOP.

can i just say, i want to make a shoutout to lgbt kids who live in homophobic homes right now. who can’t show their grief and terror, who have to keep their anger and outrage hidden; who may even have to agree with homophobic and racist family members to keep themselves safe right now. you are loved. i love you. i understand. your beliefs aren’t tainted.

even if it’s hard to see from where you are, even if it’s hard to see it in the face of this tragedy, there are people who will welcome you and accept you. there will always be sadness, suffering, and death connected to being lgbt. i don’t know if that will ever disappear.  but please believe me when i tell you that you can find happiness. you will live and you will find love.

The names of all victims from the mass shooting at Pulse Nightclub released thus far are all Hispanic who were either part or in support of LGBT community. Please, don’t erase the identity of the Hispanic-Latino LGBT members & supporters killed in their own safe space, a GAY nightclub, when it was LATINX/HISPANIC night.

I have so many thoughts and so much anger at what was has happened in the last few days. I have so many feelings for what has happened in the last few years, not just in America but everywhere.

There is so much I want to say about all of this: Orlando, Christina, the mass shootings, the refugees, the hateful laws, blaming of rape victims, the blaming of Muslims, the police violence towards the black community…every nasty thing thing that’s been going on for so long.

But I’m so speechless.

I cannot believe what kind of hateful, cruel world we still live in. I cannot believe how people will blame everything but the actual issue. I cannot believe people are murdered for such terrible reasons.

For all of those who have been suffering because of who you are, I am so sorry.

To those 50 lives lost last night, I am so sorry.
