You know, thereās really about an infinity number of reasons why Suga is my number one bias in Bangtan, but Iāve decided to try to compile a list thatās more readable.Ā
~Heās always had talent. Even watching his kind of dorky audition video, you can see that heās got talent. He had famous written all over him. He was also such a sweet soul pre-debut. He worked hard, despite his lazy personality front.
~Heās growing as a person: As heās gotten older, and BTS has become more famous and popular (especially internationally), Iāve noticed a decrease in the sweet personality that he had pre-debut. Once in a while, we get glimpses of the sweet soul, and I always appreciate that. But, while his sweetness may be gone or hidden really, heās gained a type of maturity that speaks of his growth
~Not to say he isnāt silly: Heās still goofy a lot, and I like seeing the goofy. It gives you glimpses behind the cool, cold facade he often puts up. You get to see a bit of whatās insideĀ
Okay, time to get a little less seriousā¦
~His lisp: That thing could save lives
~His style: While yes, he is dressed by the BTS stylists probably about 80% of the time you see photos of him, you have to be able to wear the outfits. And wear them he does. Thank God for his stylist. And makeup artist for that matter.
~His pretend laziness: I feel him on a spiritual level when it comes to motivation. While he often says heās lazy and unmotivated (which he is) 90% of the time, you know he works much harder than he lets on. He stays up late even when on tour to work on his music. Heās admitted to being a perfectionist when it comes to his music though, hence why no mixtape yet
~That weird aegyo thing he does sometimes: Honestly, most of the time he does aegyo, I feel second-hand embarrassment for him, but he gets away with it every time. Because heās Suga. He just can
~This video: You never see his full face really, but you donāt even have to. Just look at thisā¦

~Everything: Really, I donāt know when he slipped into my bias list. Iāve always chosen biases based off 90% personality/10% looks. When I first got into BTS, way back when (pre-debut era), J-Hope was my #1 bias. I was a hardcore J-Hope bias too. I mean, 100% J-Hope. I loved J-Hope because I loved his cheeriness, his optimism, his goofiness, and the way he never seemed to let himself be down. But then, slowly, but surely, Suga crept in. Honestly, at first I thought Suga was kind of weird and I didnāt like him much, when it came to BTS as a whole. But as I really started getting into BTS and watching their videos and just learning more about the group via highly scientific Internet research, I started to really like Suga. I liked how he dealt with things, I liked his gummy smile, I liked his music, I liked that he actually wanted to write and produce his own music. I saw how he was becoming more and more of someone youād want to admire and look up to as a role model. And then one day, after watching some BTS videos with a friend she asked who my bias was, and Suga slipped out of my mouth.
I remember her being, like,Ā āReally? Why?ā And I remember not having an answer, but my brain was like,Ā āYeah, heās your #1 bias nowā, and I was like alright sure, why not.
And that is my Suga story. Sorry for rambling. To be honest, you donāt need to read all this crap, but if youāre interestedā¦yeah anyways.
