HALF MAN • 1.05

*head in my hands* why are homes not beautiful anymore
biggest plot twist in half man is that ruben didn’t actually kill anyone (until he went full romeo & juliet on niall and himself at the end)
because he understands high roamnce. saved himself for niall didnt he lmao. i say lmao.............
yeah no sorry yes it’s insane niall tells ruben that loving him is the only thing he’s ever felt, but personally i’m still stuck on the fact before all of that, he says loving ruben is the only thing.
it’s more all consuming than a simple emotion; his love for ruben is everything, so foundational, so integral to who niall is that it’s the only thing. the only thing he’s ever felt, sure, but also just the only thing. it’s so much that everything else gets swallowed by it—is understood and filtered through it.
because who is niall without ruben, without his love for him? beyond niall’s books and desperate attempts at making something of himself, what is there that actually holds him together? what is the only proof he has that he’s ever existed, the only meaningful thing in his life? it all circles back to ruben—and love is just the most tangible bit of that, the only part he can actually name or hold onto

the thing is. niallruben make me heartsick in ways I cant even express. I cant even begin to articulate how fucking sick in the head they make me. ive never felt this beautifully wretched about a ship before. maybe ever. its like the weight of the whole sun is pressing down on my chest when I so much as think about them. they were doomed from the start. happiness was so close at hand. they just had to reach out and take it. things might have been okay. but they weren't. the sickly sweet tragedy of almost. they were so in love and it killed them and they never even talked about it. and now I have to go nuclear about it for the rest of my miserable fucking life. is the thing. its the only thing hes ever felt. like do u even get the enormity of that. can u even fucking comprehend it. can anyone even fucking hear meeeeeeee
Your love for me. Where do you feel it?
