I figure I’ll explain why I got it too ^^ Moyoco Anno is one of my favorite illustrators, and Sugar Sugar Rune has consistently been a source of inspiration for me. Her series transcends just manga for me, the fluidity of her line, the sheer amount of detail, the “mood” she creates, it’s amazing. Her work reminds me of Aubrey Beardsley’s illustrations, and her characters are real, relatable, they grow they change they learn…I just love Sugar Sugar Rune and I always will. So thank you Moyoco Anno for making my adolescence an adventure through the eyes of Chocolat and Vanilla.
