Jason and Damian are playing a game where they test each others resistance to poisons while the others make bets.

Dick: So we're all in agreement about Damian winning? Jason: No loyalty. Duke: I bet on you Jason Jason: Then you're gonna lose lol.

While they're talking Bruce just... mixes all of them together and downs the concoction.

Bruce: I've had vodka stronger than this.

Everyone is horrified except Alfred, who watched Bruce do this a hundred times when he first finished his training as a 'party trick' and already placed his bet on Bruce.

The thing I love about the Duke & Robby conversation is that Duke gave a piece of himself, told something about himself that may have changed Robby's view of him, and made him vulnerable. It wasn't a monologue or questioning it was a dialogue. Duke gave something from himself so Robby can feel more at ease to say what worries him.

Dick Grayson

He fell first but you fell harder. It’s easy to fall for him, of course. He’s charming and funny with a heart so big, it always floors you a bit. He’s witty and you two always have great conversations and he can show up for something fancy or something low key, whatever you prefer; he’s just like that, so easy to exist around. He falls for you so fast that it leaves you a little breathless in its intensity. And it isn’t that you don’t feel the same, but it’s never felt quite that intense until after he tells you he’s Nightwing. And, well, it’s less that he told you and more like he fell through your window one night, the closest familiar place he could remember, with a handful of cracked ribs and bleeding from a few deep gashes along his body. It had been jarring, of course, until he ripped off that mask to reveal those gorgeous blue eyes you came to know so well and that’s the moment you fell so much harder for Dick Grayson. How could you not when he’s sitting there on your bathroom floor, letting you help stitch him up as he tells you all about the patrol that made him look like this? How could you not fall so much harder when the real depth of his love for not just the people in his life, but this city, too, was so painfully obvious on his body in the form of scars and bruises from protecting it night after night? He’s a hero in every sense of the word and while it scares you to think about it, it also fills you with so much love for him that you can hardly stand it. That night sends you so hard and so deep in love with him that you actually feel the way something in you seems to shift into place, can feel the way this love feels like home when he gives you that tired little smile with a bruise blossoming across his cheekbone and his blood staining your bathroom rug.

 Jason Todd

You fall first but he falls harder but it isn’t a quick thing for him. It’s slow. It’s hesitant, even. He doesn’t really make it easy, loving him. He’s prickly and can say things he doesn’t mean when he’s angry and there are times he goes totally radio silent on you entirely because the sheer feeling of having someone he cares about like this terrifies him. You’re patient with him but you don’t let him walk all over you when he’s angry; you challenge him while also validating the things he feels, even when it makes him mean. You care about his feelings but you don’t coddle him and you’re never afraid to tell him when he’s crossed a line with you and, most of all, you don’t accept any excuses when what’s really needed is a simple apology. But what is it that makes Jason fall harder for you? The way you stay. The way you still smile at him when he feels like the worst person alive. The way you still press a kiss to his cheek whenever you see him. The way you give him the chance to let his guard down around you and feel safe with the knowledge that you won’t leave. He’s used to chasing people away and baring his teeth to protect himself. He’s not incredibly used to people seeing that version of him and handling it with care and patience the way you do. He’s not used to the way he wakes up from a rough night, knowing he said something he shouldn’t have, and seeing you still there in the morning. You don’t run from him. You don’t let him scare you. You stand your ground and you fight for what the two of you have and that, above all else, is what makes Jason Todd the one who falls so much harder.

You fall first but he falls harder. It’s not even really something he’s super aware of right away which is why it sort of blindsides him. You’re smart and confident and have more emotional intelligence than most people he knows and it’s one of the things he likes about you. You also dive headfirst into things with all you have, the relationship included. Not that he minds it, of course. He liked it the way you always made sure to text him when you woke up and before you went to bed, even if he himself was drowning in cases and bat-related things to reply properly to you. You accepted his random stretches of disappearing with a lot more grace than he was expecting and he was thankful for that. But what was it that made him fall so much harder for you? It was the fact that you held onto all these different things that held significance to you in your relationship with him. Ticket stubs from the first movie you guys went out to see together in the first week of your relationship. The sweater of his that he let you borrow one night when you forgot to bring your own. The little foldable, paper take out menu from the restaurant you went to with him as a way to get him out of the cave and into sunlight for a few hours; the same menu he doodled little shapes and faces on in the corners while you laughed softly. He wasn’t even really sure why that made him fall so much harder. Maybe it was just…the visible evidence of how much you cared about him and the time you spent with him. It left him feeling sappy and warm inside and even now, he always smiles softly to himself when you snap pictures of the both of you together when you’re out or tuck another little memento into your pocket to add to the collection.

 Duke Thomas

He fell first but you fell way harder. Duke’s always had an easy sort of charm to him and a way of making you feel so at ease around him. He fell for you hard and fast during a charity event he was volunteering at and the two of you hit it off so easily, it was almost funny to consider the fact that you’d never known each other up until that moment. You melded together easily despite both of your busy lives and Duke always made time for you, even if it just meant swinging by to say hi while you were at work for a moment or two. He’s not hard to love; he’s so easy to love that it feels as easy as breathing. It’s that ease he brings to your life that makes you fall so much harder for him. He was so good at knowing when things were getting to be too much for you or when you were running yourself ragged and he always prioritized you taking care of yourself. He knew when you needed to rest and when you needed a fun day out. He knew when you needed to be alone and he knew when you said you wanted to be alone but really just wanted him to sit there with you quietly while you lean against him, head on his shoulder. That ease he brought to your life was tied into everything about your relationship; The way he always talked things out with you without letting anything become a fight or the way he so easily knows how to make you see yourself the way he sees you. Things with Duke are just…so easy in a way life never usually is for you and it’s what makes you fall so much harder for him. Love feels like something soft and patience with him and you wouldn’t want it any other way.

 Bruce Wayne

You fall first and he falls much, much harder. It’s not something he planned to do. He never plans for these kinds of things to happen. You fell for his charm and his grace and the depth of his compassion that not a lot of other people truly seem to understand. He allowed it because he did care for you, how could he not when you were so confident and independent and always kept him on his toes? Finding out he was Batman didn’t scare you away. If anything, it seemed to only solidify your feelings for him when you really knew just how much he sacrificed to protect the people of Gotham. You stayed which did surprise him a little, sure, but what really took him by surprise was how quickly he had come to want you woven into every aspect of his life. He found himself looking forward to the end of patrols so he could crawl into bed with you and sleep away the cruelty of the night wrapped in your arms. He looked forward to your easy wit first thing in the morning over coffee and the softness of your lips against his. He even looked forward to the way you constantly challenged him, forcing him to deal with conflict rather than stew in it in silence, though he’d never admit to that just yet. It’s bizarre for him to find himself eager for the future in any sense, even if it’s just tonight or tomorrow or the gala he can show you off at later this weekend. Life is always so unpredictable for him and seeing tomorrow isn’t a promise ever truly made to a man like him, doing what he does. He doesn’t let himself think too hard about the future until you and that’s what shakes him, what makes him fall so hard for you that it nearly knocks him off his feet. For the first time in years, Bruce Wayne is eager for the future.
