Imagine tsukki being desperate on a ride home from a game but trying to remain dignified until he starts to leak and looses all composer begging them to pull over because he would rather pee on the side of the road than in his pants. Finally someone hands him a bottle.

oooh yes i am all about people panicking at the last minute on bus/car rides. like, at first they think they’re fine, they can make it to the rest stop but no wait they can’t they’re wetting themselves pull over now they can’t hold it

That’s basically how it starts for Tsukishima; he doesn’t get to use the bathroom before they leave because everybody is ready to leave and he will explode before he makes everybody on the bus wait for him to pee.

Which looks like it might happen, because there’s still another forty-five minutes to go at least and he already feels like he’ll wet himself now. He can’t stop bouncing his leg, bladder trembling on his lap. He wants to think that he can wait, but judging from how full he feels and the fact that he literally can’t stay still betrays him.

Tsukishima really, really doesn’t want to ask to pull over, but if he doesn’t, he’ll flood the seat which Yamaguchi is also sitting in and heaven knows that it’ll be all that more embarrassing for their positions being reversed (usually, Yamaguchi is the one that’s desperate to pee).

But at the twenty-minute mark, after he’d almost fooled himself into thinking he could make it all the way back, he starts leaking. He clenches his teeth and his legs as a hot spurt dribbles out into his underwear. Yamaguchi knows better than to ask if he’s fine. i wrote something similar to this a while back but i am imagining it again in a different way

like maybe he’s actually in a match this time and he’s lucky that the ball hasn’t come to him/he hasn’t needed to block yet, but he his head is swimming and he’s hot even though he’s literally shivering and he has to pee so badly

he doesn’t get the chance to do anything. He stretches his arms up, ready to jump, to block, but the stretching movement compresses his bladder and he just. starts peeing. and he freezes. and while noya dives to save it, and they manage to hit it back over, the other team forgets to block because they’re too busy staring open mouthed at the tall blocker that is obviously peeing himself right in the middle of the court…. and tsukishima would be entirely frozen, feeling hot all over and mortified and he just stares at the ground with tears pouring down his face and it’s silent except for the splattering as the ball rolls across the back half of the court, forgotten for the moment

and sugawara is the first to rush off the bench to grab tsukishima’s arm and hurriedly rush him off the court; from there he lets yamaguchi take tsukishima to the bathroom so he can apologize to the other team and daichi can direct clean up

any headcanons on tsukki from HQ?? I imagine him as being really stubborn/dignified (kinda like mido except a little less shy) and he doesn't really like letting anyone know he needs to go (tadashi is an exception maybe) but if he /really/ has to go or is on the verge of having an accident, and there's absolutely no getting around it, he'll admit he's bursting and urgently needs to find a bathroom (love your mido stuff btw)

Yesssss, I think your headcanons here are spot on honestly, so I guess I’ll just be elaborating on them more than giving my own. :p

Tsukki is so horribly stubborn about needing to use the bathroom, and I agree he would never tell anybody but Yamaguchi he has to go unless it is a serious emergency. If there is a bathroom very close by, he tends to try to sneak off and use it, but if someone calls him out for trying to leave, he’ll generally be too proud to actually admit where he was going, and then end up staying and suffering, holding in order to keep from admitting he has to go.

Oddly though, if someone outright asks him if he needs to use the bathroom (or if someone else in the group says they have to go), Tsukishima will admit to needing to go, but if it’s up to him to announce he has to, he will do everything in his power to avoid it. Unfortunately for him, it’s rare that anyone notices he has to pee, since he doesn’t often fidget or squirm.

But he manages to hold it to the end of the game, and successsfully gets to the loo with no mess. On the way home, because his bladder has been weakened from previously holding so much, he has to go again, not even an hour later. But he's so embarrassed to tell the team again after such a fuss last time, he wets himself.

This mantra had been running through Yamaguchi’s mind for a good half hour now, his legs both bouncing constantly as he sat on the very edge of the bench, fingers gripping the edge. He noticed Suga leaning closer to him on his left before murmuring to him, “If you need to go that badly, you can leave for a few minutes, you know.”

Oh. He hadn’t realized he’d spoken aloud, but at that point, he really didn’t care. Karasuno only needed to score ten more points before the match would be over. Once that happened, Yamaguchi could make his way to the bathroom without having to miss any of the excitement of the game. The only problem was that Karasuno was evenly matched with their opposition, the other team scoring points at nearly the same rate as Yamaguchi’s own. It wouldn’t be easy for Karasuno to get those ten points, and once they did, it was very likely the other team might be within a one-point difference, in which case, the game would have to continue on even longer.

Yamaguchi had realized about five minutes into the second game that he probably shouldn’t have been drinking so much water when he wasn’t even playing in the game itself. He had been sure at the time though that he’d be able to avoid a bathroom break regardless, and was still determined to do so. After all, in addition to being very dedicated to cheering on his team, he was still always hoping for a chance to play himself, and he was afraid if he left the bench for even a minute, that chance would pass him by.
