so. where has homebound been?

firstly, like a lot of newer artists, i sort of jumped into the comic idea without really thinking of how much mental energy went into it. i knew it would be hard, but i thought i was ready. spoiler alert: i wasnt.

secondly, a bitch be depressed. the hiatus originally started when i was in the middle of a move, but after that, my mental & physical health took a sharp turn into the shit show and i just haven’t had the creative energy to put towards homebound. i’ve not been drawing much over the past year at all. as you can tell though, what i have been up to has helped my skills grow a lot! i’ve developed more of my own style rather than backpacking off screenshots of the show, and i’m able to draw things largely from scratch these days.

i would love for homebound to return. and i’m happy to keep working on it - but i just cannot guarantee when new episodes will come out. they could be months apart (ideally, not a year). that said, the entire storyline is written out in a word document on my laptop, so i’m also happy to just publish that.

thank yall for sticking by, and to the folks who have joined us during hiatus! i am genuinely glad you like my silly idea, and i hope you’ll hang around long enough to see its completion. (…eventually.)

i wanna apologize for the crazy delay on ep 2. the last few weeks have been pretty bonkers. i went into a bit of a burnout because i work 6 days a week and do basically everything in my workplace while dealing with an abusive coworker. and right as i was feeling okay my brain decided to ✨explode✨. i was in the hospital last week and am currently on stroke watch. check in on your friends with autoimmune diseases yall we’re not ok

ANYWAY i promise it’ll be out as soon as i can get it. i have had like no energy to put towards doing the things i love lol

An announcement from the artist

Hi guys! As we prepare for the first episode to come out, I wanted to give you all a heads-up and some more info about what’s going to go down.

With all this said, I am super open to tips, constructive criticism, and feedback from all of you to help the comic take shape.

I’d also like to note that there will always be TWs both at the intro to the episode & the tags whenever it’s needed (i.e. Steven has a traumatic flashback, smokes, etc).
