Leaves crunched underneath otherwise silent feet, a petite figure wandering down a forested path. Brows furrowed in obvious frustration, dark eyes darted this way and that, searching for something. Was it even possible? How had a scouting mission turned into this? Shortly after arriving to these small towns it quickly became apparent to Sui-feng that something was wrong - just not anything she had expected. There were multiple individuals within the confines of these towns who held a noticeable amount of power, though for some reason, everyone seemed to be acting and getting along normally.
The surprise came when the bee attempted to return home, only to find that she couldn’t. No matter which direction she went, she could only seem to get so far from the area. To make matters even worse, she could only shunpo a few times before her ability suddenly cut out. All of these things combined, made for a very agitated little bee.
It had been a few days since her unwelcome revelations, during which time she had arranged herself lodging for the time-being. The town layout had become somewhat familiar, through her incessant attempts to find some way out. She had spent her first few days in the town doing nothing but pacing the perimeter, tense as a tiger trapped in a cage. There must be some reason she was trapped here… and it left her bristling and paranoid.
This day was no different, and despite the slowly fading afternoon light Sui-feng walked the path, her eyes searching for any sign of a cause for her entrapment - or any sign of a way to breach it.
The rustling of leaves as they were crushed underfoot alerted him to the presence of company, and Isaiah looked up from his campfire. ‘Company; turned out to be a woman. He’d seen her around before, on his admittedly far-too-often visits to Hinamori, and from what he could tell, she, too, was an outsider. Looks like he wasn’t the only one to desire escape, then! Though common sense and the myth surrounding the towns told all the residents that escape was impossible, people still tried. Kind of redundant, but what have you?
Still, in this case, Isaiah would be the first to empathise with the stranger. Even knowing escape attempts, and any variations thereof, were futile didn’t stop him from testing out a different route. Today’s plan, for example, had him setting up camp on the spot he’d woken up at, in the hopes that the same fog that had brought him here would show up again. With a small fire cheerily burning, Isaiah had opened a pack of marshmallows, and set resigned himself to waiting for nightfall. Company would be– pleasant. Even if the woman didn’t look like the sort to accept company. Well, cacti had their benefits, and prickly people too.
“I’ve tried in that direction already,” he called out to the stranger. In the otherwise silent forest, his words echoed like a gunshot, painfully loud. “There’s nothing there but trees, trees, and more trees. Walk further, and you end up against a rock wall the height of Everest, or something like that. It’s a waste of time, trust me. Want a marshmallow?”
The presence nearby hadn’t gone unnoticed, however it had been ignored until that moment. Partially out of having no desire to talk to anyone and partially out of a hope that maybe they just wouldn’t be able to see her. Upon being addressed, however, Sui-feng realized that in this place it truly seemed like she had nothing but bad luck. She was never one for caring all that much about being polite, and it did cross her mind to continue ignoring the individual - to just keep walking until they were out of earshot. The thought quickly left her mind, however, when he had mentioned not being able to leave. Was she not the only one stuck here? Maybe it was time to finally talk to someone...
Turning his way, her dark eyes quickly scanned over the boy seated near a small campfire. The first thing her eyes were drawn to, however, were not his overall face. Rather, they shifted first to his hair and then his eyes, which even from the short distance that separated them it was easy to tell were odd colors for a human. Though, he wasn’t quite human, was he? Something felt off, though she couldn’t quite place it. Her eyes lingered on his colouring for a few moments before shifting to look at him more broadly - not really caring all that much if he had noticed her observation.
She walked closer, taking small and deliberate steps. Whatever this being was, he wasn’t fully human, and that only added to her reasons to be defensive in this strange place. But if if he could give her information...
“Then I take it I’m not the only one stuck in these towns?” Her voice was more quiet than his, not carrying quite as far - and not holding the same friendly invitation his had, however not entirely dismissive. “Is everyone trapped within this forest?”
it took me about 3 seconds to decide I really wanted Soifon to have Drax’s inability to process abstract metaphors

ooc; dghjkdshgdklsf Hello everyone! I just wanted to say hi and be excited for being accepted into the group!
Despite how badly I want to start writing right this second, I probably shouldn’t since I just worked 4-midnight and now have to be back at work at 8am. I should proooooobably sleep. Because I am weak. So I’ll get to my first writings tomorrow.
If anyone would like to try and interact with this antisocial little bee just like this or message me or something!
WHERE WOULD YOU MOST LIKE TO VISIT ON YOUR PLANET?
"If you’re inquiring about where I would like to visit within the Seireitei, then nowhere. The job of the stealth squad is management and information gathering from all corners of our territory, as such, I have visited everywhere within the Seireitei at least once.
If you mean within the human world then, again, nowhere. There is hardly any location in this world worth wanting to take the time. I’ve many more important things to do.”
She'd follow Yoruichi anywhere, however.
Of my five older siblings, two died on the first mission, then two more on the second, then in the sixth mission, the last one died as well. I felt sad somewhat, but more than that, I felt ashamed of their incompetence.
