A week in the life of game design
Our session opens with the quintessential question: how much does a polar bear weigh?
Enough to break the ice!
Ice breakers were the perfect way to cool off on a hot July 11th, but what was even cooler was playing and making Turtle Wushu mods!
We played through King of Tokyo, Guts of Glory, and Forbidden Island, finishing up the day with a discussion regarding their design elements.
Our students take a visit to Babycastles where the current exhibition is “Squinky Hates Videogames”. Squinky’s setup helped us explore gender, social awkwardness, and just plain fun through a mixture of non-digital and digital design!
Ending off the week with a bang, Times Square is made a little more brighter with the opening of PlayTimesSquared.
