My first Weekly Art Round-Up! So here is the deal:

I came up with a little schedule for myself when it comes to drawing, so that I can be 1.) Practicing my art consistently, 2.) Playing with different art styles and tools, and 3.) posting here more regularly.

The idea is that I stick to this schedule, post a weekly roundup with an image from each day, and just see how things go! Here is the ideal schedule:

Monday - Hands

Tuesday - Digital Art

Wednesday - Figures/Anatomy

Thursday - Character Designs

Friday - Art Markers

Saturday - Mixed Media

Sunday - Hand-lettering

This week is clearly out of order, and I still need to see how to best organize the schedule with posting time, etc. but I’m excited to see how it goes!

I finished my first read through of my first novel’s first draft! That is a lot of firsts. Now I just have to go through and, you know...make it better. Cut the copious amount of “author’s notes,” add to the plot, stuff like that.

Day Eight No Prompt: Prayer 9/17/15 I put this in my "God Box" just this morning, with all the other yet-to-be-answered prayers. Hanna and I found an ad on a church website our first day of apartment hunting from a girl in North Hollywood looking for a roommate. We've been talking to her over the course of the past week, and submitted our applications to her landlord yesterday. This morning I put this prayer in the God Box, knowing he would work things out if it was his will. We just heard back, and we got the apartment! We will officially be moving out to LA October 19th. Praise Jesus!

I figured this would suffice for my creative thing today. Took the picture, chose the filter, etc. More importantly though, I just wanted to showcase how God answer’s prayer! Even though we have struggles and hardships, He will always see us through, opening the doors that need opening, closing those we should not walk through, and providing opportunities to use the skills He gave us in pursuit of His plan for our lives. Amazing. I am awe struck by HIs love.

Day Seven No Prompt: Doodle 9/16/15

Today’s post brought to you by faith, hope, and a smidge of stress! My friend and I have been talking to a potential future roommate in an apartment in LA. This whole situation has been amazing, we prayed before our first day apartment hunting, and asked Jesus to just work things out, let us find something, and let it be easy. That very night, we got a message back from a girl who posted an ad for a roommate on a Church website. This really feels like it will work, and I feel so blessed, but applying for an apartment is a hard/scary/daunting task in spite of the fact I know God will work all things out. So this is the result of me being in APARTMENT MODE all day. Not quite as angsty as it appears (I got carried away with the squiggles) more of just a general nnnnneeeeeeeaaaaayyyyyhhhhghghghgjgjgjgjjgjg that happens at the end of a long task.

I’m Starting a New Thing

…and I felt like declaring it with all the boldness of a text post title!

Recently, I got a couple of neat books from Barnes and Noble. One is called 300 Drawing Prompts, the other is 500 Writing Prompts.  Having so many prompts gave me an idea. I want to try and do at least two creative things a day, one art and one writing. Sometimes it will be the prompts, sometimes poetry, some times a larger work  of art in progress. I want to make sure that I don’t let my art languish now that I’m out of college *insert dramatic sigh and hand flail here*

I’ll be posting the writing and art on my respective writing and art blogs, and reblogging them on my main blog. I got this idea a few days ago, but had to clean out my entire computer before it would let me save the images. Apparently, you can’t have an entire web series, a year’s worth of design projects, and bucket upon bucket of photos indefinitely. ANYWAY, you’ll be getting a triple dose of goodness to start!

I’ll be tagging the project #2CreativeThings. I don’t know how long it will last, hopefully FOREVER, because I’d like to make this a habit. Enjoy!
