One frame at a time

I have been so happy with how these images are turning out.  I’ve started working BIG, so these are scans of only a portion of the 16 x 20 inch images.  Really, the image needs to be viewed in entirety to be effective, but until I can get to a large scanner, these will just have to do.

I have been experimenting with solarizing these guys, which is why they look slightly different than the images that I was making earlier.  It is a tricky process, and I have yet to figure out how to control it, but the results are always a fun surprise!

I have been busy in the darkroom creating images that combine two aspects of my life, veterinary medicine and art!  Using x-rays to create cameraless images, and developing selectively, I have begun to make work that is uniquely mine!  I’d love to hear what you think.

Experimentation Time!

 Finally found some 620 film for the Brownie that didn’t set me back the price of a Leica! I am so excited to get out with this and see what develops… pun intended!

Do any of you have experience with shoot extremely out of date film?  This will be my first (and hopefully not last) foray into outdated film.

What will the world of film fanatics do when the spring of expired film has dried up??

One down, four to go.

It was a long time in the making, but I am very happy with the way that this project has finished up!  FauxVideo #1 went through some big changes from the original idea, but I do believe that it has come together in the way that it was meant to.

To really get the full immersion, you must watch the video.  The frenetic music is really the kicker.

Nose to the Grind

Hard at work on my final project for my Photomedia class.  I am still very happy with the way things are coming together!  This is another composite that I have created for a portion of my installation.. more to come!

Work In Progress

Final project for Art340..  so much fun with this one!  I haven’t felt quite this excited about a project for a while.  From the initial idea with plasric television sets,  to the composite images that are flowing like water.  My creativity block may finally be over!

Print sculpture

A challenge to create a sculpture out of prints.  I created a bucket full of stars from images I have captured over the last couple of years.  It went through a couple iterations,  and I am still not completely satisfied,  but it will do.

Tools of the Trade

Houses of Parliment

So much soaring architecture to be found in London.  Loved getting to see the vaulted ceilings and the interesting sculptural work on all of these places.

Night City London looks so different at night.  Tail lights, street lamps and illuminated windows paint their magic across the scene after the sun goes down.

London Sky Perhaps one of the most recognizable icons of London.  Big Ben is almost impossible to escape when touring through the city.
