I can guarantee you that J2 (especially Jensen) dream of doing something like the show's early seasons. Recapturing that aesthetic and writing style, and the freedom they had back then to build their characters without fear of "cancellation." It’s no coincidence that the hellers/destiews prefer the garbage the show turned into during its final seasons, when it devolved into a soulless parody with idiotic storylines. They (and Mishit) want that decline to continue until, at some point, the character of Dean transforms into their personal headcanon: a bisexual, "omega," "woke" Dean who just wants to live with the luv of his life Asstiel and raise their kids; Claire and two other orphans they picked up somewhere along the way.
They know that returning to the show's true essence means going back to Sam and Dean alone on the road, embracing the gothic, the dark, and the violence rather than dealing with Asstiel and so many other extras who merely served as plot devices and contributed to the story's deterioration.

The young 'uns of today could never take that. Too violent!!!! Instead they prefer Dean in a purple nightgown. LMAO
