The only time I've seen his ops sell out are when he's with Jensen, and that's not until Jensen's solos are already sold out.
At Crossroads, Jared's queue ended up tripling back on itself up the full length of the corridor. Mishap's queue very much didn't. JiB, his autographs aren't included and they aren't bought either. Again, J2 queues make my hand cramp to think of. In the hall, they go back on themselves five times, then there's two lanes of queues before you get to that queue, and then the queue outside the autograph hall in the main foyer is two deep.
He over prices himself to try and play with the big boys and then doesn't sell out. He needs to accept he's not at Jared or Jensen's fame or talent, and that's why he's not at their net worth or earning potential either. He also doesn't have the benefit of income from acting work like R2 or Mark Sheppard who all have a few roles a year. Not leads, but still steady. Still enough to have all their union benefits.
Conventions are his bread and butter now. But unless he works to attract more fans from the convention
One of his dumbest moves was alienating so much of the Supernatural fanbase with his pandering. He diluted his character to nothing but queerbait of his own doing, stuck around like a stale fart after his character added anything, and then has made it his life's missions to sexually harass, objectify, and incite hatred towards the two leads.
I guess he bought a fancy house because he's always there. He's a stay at home actor. Might as well have four nice walls to look at. And if his expenses are high, maybe he won't have to spend so much in child support. A house can increase in value, but spending that money on providing for your kids is just a waste, right?
