It’s beyond my comprehension how they could miss something so obvious, given that I assume most people have had the experience of doing something thoughtful for a loved one. That requires attention and a desire to make the other person happy, to let them know you’re thinking of them.

Did he care one bit about Cas's tastes, what songs he might like and worry about whether it would please him or not? We saw none of this. Let me tell you about going to an active war zone. Whilst I have never been to Ukraine I did have to visit Kabul and Irbil as part of my work. No, they don’t let celebrities swan in and do a photo opportunity in active combat war zones for fun. The restrictions are extremely tight because it isn’t just the celebrity they’re trying to keep safe, but also they don’t want to provide armed personnel who could get killed or injured for the sake of a person going for a wander around for a photo opportunity.

So no Lynette, your fav didn’t go to an active war zone. He went to an area that was made safe so that nobody got killed for the sake of a photo opportunity.

Seriously though, Mishit's visible panic at that panel at Purcon was because of this. The guy knows the money isn't flowing in for him at conventions like it used to, his show was drying up and was about to be canceled. I acruelly don’t agree that Jared needed to be “brought in” or part of the brainstorming for The Winchesters. He was busy doing his own new show.

BUT, imo, Jensen owed him the courtesy of telling him the show was happening while it was still in development, not letting him find out through social media, and offering him a chance to show up in it if he wanted to make a cameo.

I don’t think Jared would have wanted to be in that train wreck in any big way, but at the bare minimum, Jensen owed Jared the knowledge that it was happening.

The fact that he didn’t tell him says A) Jensen knew he was wrong, but didn’t want to face it. B) Jensen wanted to “steal” the brand with the shittiest spin off ever. C) Jensen built himself up into a state of thinking he deserved this chance to front the franchise since Jared walked away from the show for Walker, and this was his way of expressing his angst. D) Jensen is a coward, but didn’t think Jared would actually out his shitty behaviour publicly, so he gamble on letting him find out through press. And lost. E) he tried to tell Jared, but Jared didn’t answer his calls 😉. Or all of the above. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh, I agree Jared didn't need to be brought into it. But it's a little thing called common decency to your friend of 15 years. But that's something that's not very common anymore. Just the fact that he didn't tell him proves he knew he was wrong.

Assuming this is true, that obviously wasn't a blanket agreement. It one thing to keep a random project a secret, it’s another thing to keep the continuation of a 15-year-long franchise a secret from the person who, according to Jensen himself, is half responsible for its success. That success is the reason Jensen even had an opportunity to make a spin-off in the first place, so Jared should’ve been brought in from the very beginning. He should’ve been a part of the very first brainstorming session for what the spin-off should be. But apparently Jared’s opinion/input was not wanted.

And what was it all for? A show that couldn’t make it past 1 season. A show that received a lawsuit for an unsafe work environment, from a crew member who was nearly killed on set. Where 2 other crew members come out to say production had already been a massive shit show before the lightning incident even happened. And they said this on their ACTUAL accounts btw, none of this “anonymous” bullshit anti’s have been using to prove Jared was a problem on the set of SPN/other projects.

Everytime I think of the work environment on that set. What an unsafe place to work in for everybody........
