An obituary to my living mother
Mom- The person who gave you a life and soul. The person who is supposed to care and nurture you. The person who teaches you that the eyes are the window to the soul. She teaches you right from wrong. Mom. I saw your soul drain from your eyes. Not all at once. But for as long as it took me to understand your suicide. Mom. You taught me to always do what’s right but when it came to you, you always told me that saving you was wrong. Mom. I know how you always loved your crime shows. But you could never imagine the way the cops would have found your body. Maybe it was when you crawled in my bed, wanting to die by my side. Maybe it was the time you called me and told me you were going away on vacation. Although you never left the house, I know you were trying to get to a better place. Mom. It has been 7 years since you died. When will you get to a better place?
