I've talked about this very briefly in the tags of another post, but I've been thinking a lot about how Jeff being out as bi would've been exceptionally meaningful for a young, repressed Troy Barnes. like. Jeff is this guy that he canonically looks up to and sees as this pinnacle of masculinity. he craves Jeff's respect because it would be a sign that he's growing into his own as man, and therefore masculine enough to earn that respect fron other men. and to know that actually, Jeff likes men too? that that does not make him any less of a man? or less worthy of respect? i rlly do think that a Troy who learned that Jeff was attracted to men would just be so fucking starstruck
