Hello! My name is Lauren, and this is my blog! ! It's been a very long time since I've updated, but I'm back! I'm 18 years old and my life revolves around my animals! I have two horses, Cookie (bay QH) and Apache (Paint QH). Aka Mr. And Mrs. TardyBarLeo. I also have 11 Crested Geckos, 2 Gargoyle geckos, and two dumpy treefrogs!! Oh...let's not forget about my Russian dwarf hamster, snowball.

Nova, my rescue female gecko.

Her story: Nova, as a young gecko had an irresponsible owner. He put her light IN, yes inside, her cage. Thinking that this was a wonderful big ball of warmth, nova climbed into the dome of the light and she was pinned there between the lightbulb and the dome. The lightbulb badly burned nova. It burned her tail and eventually she dropped it. It burned the crests from her head and back. It took 70 dollars worth of medication to save this baby but my friend (owner of a local reptile rescue) saved Nova. I volunteered with the rescue and held nova and fell in love. In so much love that I traded one of my other geckos for her. She looks weird but in my mind he’s beautiful and she also looks like a rotten banana

armyofowls yes she is cuddly and sweet:)) I had been looking for a female Crestie but I didn't know id end up getting this banana! I knew of her from a friend of mine for a while but had never seen her before but when I saw the extent of her scars I fell and had to have her. Luckily, my friend traded her to me for one of my male geckos

Is the wave in her back towards her tail just soft tissue scarring or does she have a crick in her spine? I have a crestie with scoliosis and it’d be nice to see another.

hansjonesy I believe it's scarring but the more I look at her I believe it may have effected her back as well. She kinda has a little curve towards her tail

Yes, she's not stressed or unhappy with anything. She eats wonderfully (a lot) she doesn't show signs of stress. Her scars don't hurt her, she's a strong little banana! a-lotl-fishblr
