Day 5: Freckles

The short scene of one of the teachers berating Yui about her detective job in volume 7 was a probably just something to laugh at, but there's something---perhaps---a little tragic about that one singular teacher being one of the only adults in Yui's life who recognized the absurdity of her circumstance, and tried to guide her into a more normal path (even if Yui doesn't view it that way)

It’s been on my mind for months, and I have come to the conclusion that Yui’s dorm only makes sense if it was an apartment. As in, the school bought a long term lease for some buildings (*the dormitories) in the area and that’s where the students go. It’s literally the only way Yui would have access to a cooking area that Kyoko would learn “commoner” skills in (laundry is probably a shared space)

Given Yui’s personality, I think her dorm space would be a lot similar to Mima’s room in Satoshi Kon’s Perfect Blue (1997)
