Uh oh. Day 4 Nostalgia might take me a little longer because I bit off more than I can chew with the plan for this sketch. I didn't realize how much I hate drawing Zora..... Until now. But look at how cute my Goron Champion Dotalo is!

Ganon from my fanfiction The Curse of Demise is starting in today's Day 3 Linktober art, theme of Fire. With my husband (my colorist) back to work today we are going old school with pen and pencil sketches. He will be working on getting Gan transferred to electronic art and doing all the fun coloring and shading but for today's Linktober I NEEDED the fire to be colored, and didn't want the fire to be the only thing colored, so.... Have fun with this one.
Linktober day 2: magic/sorcery. Little Zelda found a magical friend! It took me embarrassingly long to get the eyes right and I don't even like them. Going to try them in a more simple style soon, and figure out an art style my husband and I can both manage.
I'm late but here is my art for day one of Linktober, with the theme: Knight. This is Link from my fanfic, The Curse of Demise.
The Legend of Zelda: The Curse of Demise
Chapter One: The Birth of a King
A newborn's baleful cry pierced the silence as dawn began to peek through the shadows and morning brought a new day to Gerudo Valley. The midwife, a wizened old woman whose red locks were streaked with silver held the babe in her leathery hands and looked on in silent amazement.
"Miviri," breathed the mother, weakened by her great work of bringing new life into the world, "Is she alright? What is it?" The midwife did not answer. She simply relaxed, letting herself breathe. "Miviri!" The young mother sat up with no small effort, her voice strained with impatience and worry.
"Seren," Miviri's silvery voice crooned with singsong charm, soothing the infant she was now wrapping in a soft cotton blanket. "Your baby couldn't be more perfect." She handed the now whimpering child to its mother delicately, as though fearful it might break.
The mother relaxed, holding the bundle tightly to her chest as the infant sought the breast like it was the most natural thing in the world. As the infant and new mother eased into oneness after the great ordeal of birth, Miviri the midwife sat deep in thought on a sturdy chair next to the bed.
"I shall call her Riju, after her great ancestor," Seren sighed. Then Miviri let out a chuckle.
"You shall not!" The chuckle quickly turned into booming laughter as Seren gaped at her midwife in shock.
"What is the matter with you?" The midwife stood to her feet and gently pulled the baby away from its mother's comforting breast. Seren knew better than to protest too greatly, and she trusted the aged woman more than most. She watched in wonder as Mirivi carefully unwrapped her precious baby.
"Because, my dear," the midwife cooed, "Your baby deserves a name befitting a king." Seren's breath caught in her throat as she gazed at the child now laid bare on her lap.
"It's a boy," she whispered in awe. "I have a son?"
"You have a son!" Miviri hugged Seren gently, kissing her on top of the head joyfully. "I never thought I would deliver our next king. You've given me such an honor, my dear. And my, how handsome he is! I do believe his hair is curly, too. And what a big, strong looking baby he is. He will grow into a great and mighty Gerudo king! You must be so proud!"
Seren just stared at her baby in shock, wondering if she should feel something more. Should she say something special to greet her future king and welcome him into the world?
She laughed quietly, shaking her head in amazement.
"You're just an infant," she said softly, pulling him in close and settling him in to nurse again. He relaxed in his mother's embrace, suckling greedily and closing his eyes in contentment. "I have a son, Miviri." She smiled, her heart full.
"Welcome to the world, little one," she kissed him on the top of his head, mussing the soft red curls with her lips. "My dear little king."
"What are you going to call him?" The question hung in the silence for a few minutes, the only sound to be heard the sound of birds announcing the new day as the first baby boy born in a hundred years drifted off to sleep in his mother's arms.
"His name is Ganon. My sweet little Gan."

Oh this looks so much better!
Now if only someone would write a book in which the main character is actually all of these things... A lost girl who is a burglar, rides a dragon, has big dreams, goes on insane adventures, and reads. Maybe she burgles extremely valuable books? Hmm...
