The mood is set, the lights are low, Otis Redding is playing in the background and you’re in the middle of a lovely restaurant sitting at a table for two by yourself. Sitting right by the window I'm reading over documents that I have for a board meeting tomorrow, while other couples or families are seated on the opposite side of this large room gazing in each other's eyes or sharing cheesy jokes. This is almost like a scene from "You've Got Mail", however, I'm not waiting for a date. My date for tonight is Mr. Sam (my nickname for multiple sclerosis).
I refer to M.S. as Mr. Sam, because I refuse to give this life changing disease the power of even being referred to as its own name.
Surprisingly, both Mr. Sam and I are okay with the fact that we are alone having dinner in this restaurant. Tonight Mr. Sam is quiet, probably because he's been introduced to a new medication (Tecfidera) to help with these numb legs of mine. In the meantime, we (Mr. Sam and I) will use this blog to share our random times together because there's always sun after a rainy day.
Mr. Sam is the most realistic imaginary friend a girl could ask for. By the way, I enjoyed dinner. I ate so fast I couldn't take a picture of my meal; however, I did capture a nice shot of our view tonight.
