One of the things I struggle with is ignoring my convenient go-to foods especially when I am super hungry or for dinner. I am so used to that one specific meal that it almost feels incomplete not to eat it. However, it’s not the most nutritious/satiating and I also feel like my body has a hard time digesting it? The solution I am going to try is meal planning and coming up with healthier alternatives that are as convenient :)

Today was much better than yesterday, but maybe that's just because I didn't spend the whole day at home. I feel like going to uni structures my day a lot more, even though it's such a waste of time having to take the train and everything...

I've decided to do my own version of 75 hard/soft/medium. Recently, I've noticed that I am unfocused and haven't been eating well, so I am hoping to improve my mental clarity as the challenge goes on.
Tomorrow, May 5th, will be the starting day of this challenge. If I miss a day, I will start over*.
My Rules
Diet & Hydration
eating a nutritious, balanced diet
30+ different vegetables a week, focus on protein and fibre
clean eating, with no ultraprocessed foods**
staying in a calorie deficit
mindful eating
drinking 2l of water every day
taking my vitamins every day
Excercise
10k steps every day
continue my exercise routine as always (yoga, ballet, running, walking, functional strength training)
Mind
reading 1 chapter every day
establish a proper evening routine
meditate daily
journal using journal prompts
-> I will be updating this blog to hold me accountable and take progress pictures every week.
Notes
*in case I get sick/injured or anything similar, I will continue the challenge without starting over. The same goes for when I mess up in a human way (eg. forgetting to buy vitamins).
**the only exceptions to this diet are a) homemade goods, b) special occasions (birthdays, etc), c) the chance to try something new. However, even in these cases, one portion will be enough.
little things to enjoy in spring
exploring cute little new cafés with friends and rating the drinks and treats
rereading your favourite books outside in the sun
cleaning your room and suddenly feeling like a new person
long walks with no destination
staying out longer because it finally stays bright past 6pm
admiring wildflowers on the side of the road
fruit starting to taste like fruit again
spring rain—and the air right after
overhearing someone say “it actually smells like spring”
cafés putting tables outside again
taking more photos because everything looks so pretty and alive
sunlight through the curtains in the morning
actually being in the mood to make plans
finding new perfumes or body sprays that feel seasonal
the first picnic of the year
shopping for new closet staples
listening to old summer playlists and pretending it’s July already
sitting on a bench alone with headphones and people-watching
the collective seasonal delusion that we’re all going to fall in love now
